DO NOT BUY RED DOT SIGHTS, SCOPES OR WHAT-HAVE-YOU FOR THE GUN! It's a paintball gun, not an actual AR-15 or any other actual firearm that will kill anyone. My dad had gotten the Alpha Black and bought a red dot sight for it and said that he couldn't really use it because YOU WILL BE WEARING A PAINTBALL MASK. believe me when I say this, it's not like when you're shooting a real rifle. The mask basically prevents you from aiming the marker properly and you're gonna basically be using the paint you're shooting to look at WHERE you're hitting.
Sorry about that rant, continuing.... This marker is awesome for amateur players, intermediate players, or like myself if you just like playing and having a kick-ass marker and time. Now I have added upgrades to this marker such as the Hammerhead rifled barrel that shoots paint farther, faster, and WAAAAAYYYYYY more accurate than the stock barrel. Also, I've added the cyclone feed for better ball feeding and the Response Trigger but from my personal experience, do NOT get the RT. It's just too much of a hassle to get the proper firing mode you want since it's manual adjusting and it uses more air, not excess air as well as shooting more paint when I have it set to semi-auto and then chops a ball causing problems. Get the E-Grip to save time and frustration. In addition, I added added a Magpul Angled foregrip for something to hold onto when firing, makes it so much more comfortable to shoot. Also, the multiple piccatiny rails (sorry if I spelled that wrong) are awesome for adding flashlights, grips, lasers, or whatever you want.
No matter what your reasoning for choosing this marker, just know from me that it is well worth the money and the upgrades and possibilities for this marker are endless and vast. Also, taking the marker apart for maintenance and upgrading is easy peasy. For any videos on how to install upgrades or reviews for paintball stuff, see Hustle Paintball on YouTube or on their website. Thanks for reading, hope it helped!
A minor one would be that the adjustable stock feels a little flimsy but that can always be fixed.
A major problem that I had was if you shoot the gun too fast after 3 shots it'll be lock back forward and you have to recock the weapon.
All in all, very impressed with this product. I love my Tippmann Project Salvo.
- 16 inch apex 2 barrel
