About the Author
As the Executive Director of Faith Farm Ministries, Dean O. Webb brings diverse business experience to the ministry. Prior to joining Faith Farm Ministries in June, 2007, Mr. Webb’s experience included being a Merrill Lynch stockbroker, as well as a researcher on Wall Street in the Stock Watch program with the responsibility of spotting irregular trading patterns. Subsequently, Mr. Webb was President of his own securities firm, his own commercial property syndication firm and served on several non-profit Boards. He was a Board Member and acting President of Larry Burkett’s non-profit, Christian Financial Concepts, Inc., growing revenues 50% in just four years, prior to its merger with Crown Ministries. Dean is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, U.S. Naval War College and U.S. Navy Communications School. He is a Viet Nam Veteran and was a Navy Commander, who held Top Secret Security clearance to serve three Admiral Staffs during the Viet Nam war. Dean now uses his experience and leadership skills to convert his passion for giving hope to the hopeless, by facilitating changing hopeless lives into productive, spiritual children of God.

By the 1980’s, the importation of illegal drugs like cocaine and heroin had taken a firm foothold in America and drugs were seeping their way into our way of life. By the 90’s, illegal drugs had found their way into our neighborhoods, our homes, our schools, our families.
Today it’s no longer, “I know someone who knows someone…” Today drug addiction affects our children, our brothers, our sisters, our parents; our very selves. The devastation of drug abuse attacks without prejudice, no one is immune. We are all one hit, one toke, one pill, away from a lifetime of misery.
Faith Farm Ministries has been around since 1951. Over the course of those 54 years over 36,000 men and women have graduated from the program. Faith Farm offers a 9 month, Christ-centered, residential treatment program. Clients receive food, housing, clothing, toiletries, counselling, job training, GED assistance, college placement, job search assistance and even college credits for the courses they take while in the program. All of this is provided at no cost to them. None.
Do we have a 100% success rate? No. No single drug rehab program in the world can boast of perfect, 100% treatment success. Is the program for everyone? Well, we like to say that while every person who comes in needs this program, not every person who comes here wants the program. More people leave than graduate, thinking, “I’ve got this”, only to return a few months later. But for those who do want change in their life, for those who seriously embrace the curriculum, those who are ready to die to their past and be reborn in Christ, those people find lasting freedom from the bondage of drug addiction.
Our graduates include pastors, business owners, drug and alcohol counselors, and directors of other programs. Currently, two directors and countless staff members and employees have come straight out of our program.
Guys like Mike, who came to Faith Farm in 2001, after having gone through 34 different treatment programs. Today Mike works as an Intake Coordinator and supervises the graduate work and college program. Or Richard, once a very successful engineer at a major Aerospace Corporation who one day found himself in the grip of alcoholism. Today, with 19 years sobriety, he is the Campus Director at our Ft Lauderdale campus. Then there’s Henry, who lost his own father to alcoholism and became seriously addicted to drugs himself. After successfully completing and graduating the program, Henry now manages our Thrift Store.
These are just a few of the amazing, miraculous, eye-opening stories you will find within the pages of “U-Turn to God”, by Dean O. Webb, Executive Director of the program.
Buy this book. Buy several copies. Give them to friends, to neighbors, to family members. Give a copy to anyone you know who has lost or is losing a loved one to the painful, seemingly hopeless slavery of addiction. These stories of hope and recovery may very well convince someone you know and love to take that first step toward freedom.
The spiritual guidance and biblical foundations are life changing. The GED classes and college accredited recovery curriculum is another tool they offer to give a good start on second chances.
As an institution, Faith Farm is granted food stamps to compensate for some of the food expense while a student is in the program. However, the benefit is transferred to the Student when they leave Faith Farm. 94% of every dollar generated goes directly to programs for the students. 2% goes to fundraising and a mere 4% goes toward Administrative costs.
The result of Faith Farm's program is this book of grateful people who have experienced the change that God wanted to make in their lives. Faith Farm only provides the place and the tools necessary, but it is God doing all the work.
I have had the privilege of not only living a transformed life but have experience, first hand, the reality of what God has done and is doing through Faith Farm Ministries. Their “MOTTO "A Church with a Heart for the Hurting", is truly what Faith Farm Ministries is doing every day. In the past 20 years, I have seen this in action in those who have walked through their gates. I have seen people from every walk of life; rich or poor; educated or illiterate, black or white, religious or atheist, experience a transformed life by the miraculous power of God through Jesus Christ. That is what makes Faith Farm Ministries what it is today. I have personally witnessed 120 graduations which in 20 years is about 960 students; that speaks volumes.
Besides changing a person's life, Faith Farm is a long-term residential drug and alcohol addiction recovery program. What stands out about this ministry is the fact that it's FREE of cost to the student. 94% of every dollar generated goes directly to program for the students. 2% goes for fundraising, and only 4% goes towards Administrative costs. It costs Faith Farm approximately $3,000.00 a month per student to maintain the operation costs. Taken into account all the provisions provided are FREE OF CHARGE to the student. Just to name a few; room and board, GED program, (CWT) Institute that teaches work ethics and job-related training which will help them in the workplace after they graduate. We believe part of the recovery process is vocational training. Regardless of the job assignment given to the student will receive a certificate of completion for each job skills learned such as; Salvage, Maintenance, Appliance Repair, Computer Repair, Food Service, Auto Repair, New Furniture Sales, Warehouse Inventory, Dispatcher, Call Center Operators and etc. At the same time, the revenues generated goes back in the program to maintain and support the work.
The testimonies in this book are only a small percent of the lives that have been radically changed over the past 63 years as Faith Farm Ministries continues to live the legacy.
