Good for a little bit of light, and/or a little bit of heat

I use one of these in my tiny fiberglass travel trailer for little bit of heat, which cuts down on humidity and condensation on the trailer walls. I use it for light at a campsite, because I don't want to light up the site like it's Yankee Stadium, but just want enough light to move around, and to see where I've set things. It works well for that, and still leaves it dark enough that I can see stars at night. If I want maximum light from the lantern, I use tea light candles that come in clear plastic containers, and I set them on top of an upside down empty aluminum tea light can in the lantern. This lifts the flame above the frame of the lantern, and lets the candle light shine through the clear plastic as it burns all the way to the bottom. Usually, when an aluminum can tea light candle burns down, the light is blocked by the side of the can, and the light only goes up, and not out to the side. With the clear plastic tea lights, the flame is visible until ti burns out, and puts out a lot of light to the side. I really like this lantern, for what it is, a tea light candle, protected from the wind. If I want more light, I use my UCO regular push up candle lantern, or an LED lantern. When I just need a little light though, I use this mini lantern, or my UCO micro lantern, and they work just the way I want them to. I haven't had any problem with wax spilling, but I either set the lantern on a firm surface, or hang it from a firm support. If I have to move it, I move it very carefully. like I would with any container filled with molten wax. I like that you can store three candles in the lantern when it's not being used. This is very handy, and space saving feature. I would recommend this mini candle lantern to anyone wanting a nice holder for a single tea light candle.

Best lantern out there for solo camping. I love this little thing. Helps keep condensation out of the tent on cold nights as well as putting off a pleasant glow if you're to wake up in the night looking for something. It's not going to light a path for you at night, but if you buy the reflector or make your own (polished aluminum foil) it will allow you to read at night once your eyes adjust.

Just be careful when you're packing the light as the glass can break. I wrap mine in bubble wrap and place toward the top of my pack. Bubble wrap weighs next to nothing and adds that extra protection.

The top is also thin aluminum that can become hot when the candle is burning (duh, I know) but it's great to balance a coffee cup on to keep it warm in the morning. I haven't tried boiling water on it, but I image a beer/soda can could boil small amounts of water at a time with it. Just be careful because the thing is smaller than a 12oz can and could probably fit inside.

They’re my favorite so far, got 8 hours tea candles, sorry to say but much better priced than UCO candles, no spill unless I’m careless when moving them, and I can store mote inside the actual vessel, This little lamps give you enough light around the camping table but I’ll be using them for my trailer at the beach as well as tent camping. Great little candle lantern made by UCO. Couldn't be happier and the candles for this model can be found really cheap if you buy them at any local store.

puts off heat to keep your tent warm at night. you can fit 6 tea light candles inside of it so you get about 24 hours of burn time.

when locking the base of the lantern make sure to turn the base hard until you feel and hear it click into the locked position. I have seen people who think it locks just by turning it slightly, the first time you lock it in you will feel as if it needed more pressure then you would expect to have needed.

This was a very good buy. Ordered 2, 1 for my winter car survival kit and 1 for home.
The bag is a soft fleece material and measures 8" long by 6" wide, and has a draw string with a cord lock. Stitching is very good. The lantern & tealights fit into the bag with room to spare. Add your match safe.
The lantern is very well made, solid and does not rattle. The handle bail folds down and does not interfere with the lantern standing flat. The inside clips hold the tea light securely, even when shaking the lantern upside down. The lantern is 4" tall by 2-9/32" diameter.

Very useful piece of kit because it's such a resilient and handy way to utilize the common tea light-type candle safely in event of a power outage say. It's also useful in the tent camping scenario too as long as you're aware of the top metal cover heating up. If I lived in a wilder environment I'd probably keep a couple in my car, and would certainly do so on a longish trip. Only one precaution: On first time operation, be careful unscrewing the base because it's a very firm fit and I was gripping the top so hard that I thought the glass would break. No real explanation and after the first open/close, it's a 'normal' fit. Good build quality which makes me suspect that it wasn't made in China.
