Haven't used them in emergency situations, but they strike with little effort as you'll see in the video review. The burn is strong and lasts at least 12 seconds or so with high wind. The canister is sealed with a rubber gasket to prevent water intrusion. The cotton ball in the cap is an added bonus to keep most of the strike-ends dry -- and provide some fire starter material, although dryer lint is king. (Keep a bunch of that packed tightly in old film canisters or zip-loc bags.)

Après réception, j'ai laissé le flacon fermé une nuit dans l'eau.
Résultat le lendemain : flacon non étanche = allumettes qui se délitent et ne sont plus fonctionnelles + gratoire qui part en lambeaux.
Je vais donc retourner à la bonne vielle méthode des allumettes et du gratoire dans un flacon de médicament pour mon sac de rando.
