Works like a charm for starting my truck 1 ish minute before amps and inverters kick on.

What a waste of paper and pdf. Totally wrong.
Here's how it REALLY works (and very well, at that)

S5: closing it makes it a latching relay. Once coil is on, it will stay on, even if accv is removed. Kinda cool if you have a momentary trigger input. I don't. Its open for me.

S6 and S7: are backwards in the first part of the instruction. Close S7 and open S6 for on-delay. Eyeroll... Headdesk...

For the most part, the delay grid is correct.

S4: closing it adds delay time. The most time. Call it the rough drafter.

S1: closing it adds delay time. Medium strength.

S2: closing it adds delay time. Fine tuning.

S3: there is no S3. Just kidding.

Potentiometer: clockwise adds delay time.

I was able to achieve 58 to 63s on delay using the following:
S1:1,Closed
S2:1,Closed
S4:Open
S5:Open
S6:Open
S7:Closed
Pot:fully left, CCW

I could go shorter by opening S2, or longer by dialing the pot right, CW.

I tested the unit on my workbench, and was very happy with the operation of the unit. My particular use for this is quite unusual. Have you ever driven your car somewhere and after parking, realized that your cell phone is out of juice? But you can't charge it while you're shopping, because your car has turned off the 12 volt supply to your USB charger to protect discharging your car battery. With the 12V DC Time Delay Module. I can provide up to the 3600 second (1 hour) limit of "Hot" 12 volt power to my USB charger, and then switching the power line back to the accessory 12 volt circuit to save the car battery. That one hour of charging is enough to get you back on the air, until you can finish the charge. And if after the cycle has completed, you forget to switch off the 12 volt (Hot) supply to the timer, the standby current drain from the timer is so low (less than 6 ma.), that it shouldn't impact the car battery, anymore that all the other circuits in your car that are "always" drawing current from it. The "timer on" current drain is only 60 ma., a small fraction of the current your device is using while charging. This current could be lowered even more, if the "on" LED light is removed. I don't need to see mine, as I have installed it inside an aluminum "project box", and fused it with a one amp "pico fuse" to protect its' circuitry and car the car wiring.

I needed a device that would come on and stay on when triggered, then shut off after a few seconds when the trigger is gone. This isn't that. Instead, it comes on when triggered then goes off after a preset time regardless of the trigger's status. If that's what you need (a timed output that consistently goes off after a period of time regardless of what the trigger is doing), then this should be good. I ended up sending it back and going with a different device that does it all.

Great for momentary fuel pump operation!

I use this device to run a priming fuel pump on an old 1973 automobile, if the vehicle sets too long the carburetor dries out, then I need to crank the engine for 60 seconds to get the fuel pumped to the carburetor.
I installed a "free flow" electric fuel pump and used this time delay circuit to power the pump, the timer turns on the pump when I push a "momentary" button, it runs for 12 seconds then shuts off, all I have to do is push the button one time and walk away, If I hold it down it makes no difference which prevents the possibility causing the fuel to overflow the carburetor if the pump is on for too long, it’s always on for only 12 seconds, if you want to run it again you have to wait for the pump to complete its 12 second cycle, then you can run it for another 12 seconds.

The item works well once configured but configuration takes much additional time as the provided instruction sheet is incorrect, poorly written or translated and unclear. Significant improvement can be made to the instructions and ensuring that they are correct unlike the one I received and other reviewers have also commented. Additionally, circuit board jumper blocks are very tiny and require needle nose pliers to remove and relocate, and can be easily lost. Larger jumpers or simple dip switches would be easier to manage. And finally, the wire screw down lugs will only accommodate an 18 gauge or smaller wire. They could be larger to accommodate at least 16 gauge which would be necessary to support the rated amperage.

This is a nice timer. the instructions are not perfect and it is difficult to adjust for a specific amount of time but seems to work well. I'm using it to power the trigger wire for my e-fan controller on my jeep for 10 mins after i turn the ignition it off to help prevent heat soak. It seems to work well once you have it set up. The biggest issue is that it doesn't come with a case to put it in.

Thanks to all the previous reviewers who filled in the tremendous gaps in the manufacturer's documents.

In my 7.3 liter when I flip the key on the glow plugs circuit lights up and my aftermarket stereo begins to start up and connect to my Bluetooth device then after the glow plugs cycle I start the truck which kills power to the radio and starts over the radio and bluetooth process once the truck is running. Depending on the temperature this can be rather inconvenient. My goal is that when I first turn the key and switched power is delivered to the radio then the relay will begin to draw power from an always hot circuit (there are numerous unused circuits of adequate size under the dash) for the next 55 seconds which should give ample time for glow plug cycle and starting the truck then the relay switched back to the normal, switched radio power. I've prewired on my bench according to the drawing and it looks to function as described. Now to install in a case and wire to the truck.
