I initially bought this because I had to walk about a mile from the parking lot to the office every day. It's always subzero temp where I live and sometimes it's as low as -22F.
These boots did not disappoint! The moment I put my foot inside, it felt like I was stepping on clouds. These are so comfortable you wouldn't want to take them off - no breaking in needed either. I also did not feel a slight feeling of cold during my long walks (even tho I can't feel anything from the waist down lol)
But I ended up returning these for two reasons: Fit & Style
Since it's lined with wool, the fit is very very tight inside. I knew this before I made the purchase but I wasn't expecting it to be super tight. If you purchase your regular size shoe (which I did) you might not be able to wear a pair of winter socks. Again, due to the lining the shoes appears MASSIVELY wide.. To the point where it looks really awkward. It's a beautiful pair of boots. If you wear pants with large openings, it might not be an issue, but it's since I like to wear fitted pants these looks awkward on me.
If you really want some warm booth without wearing basic duck boots, consider looking into the shorter version of these boots which are the settons. They might look less awkward without compromising the warmth. I personally went with lined 1460 Dr Martens and I couldn't be happier.

Great warm, comfortable light weight boot that’s built to last.
This is my second pair of ugg boots. I bought this pair because I love the other pair that I own and have had them for 3 years and they have performed flawlessly so I decided to give these a try. I have worn them 3 or 4 times already and they feel great. I love them so much that I convinced my son to get a pair of ugg boots because he goes away to school and it snows for most of the school year and he can’t stop thanking me and raving about them. The only complaint that I have is I wish the leather was the harder finish leather on this pair like my other first pair so that I can clean, polish and protect them with mink oil which keeps them looking great every year, these are not suede but kind of have that appearance. I really don’t care because I know they will hold up over time and do the intended job and look good.Back to the Hannen boots. I fought the stigma for years that ugg shoes were for women. A co worker talked me into trying them a few years ago telling how warm they keep your feet and man was she right. I hate having cold feet. I can not say enough good things about these boots and ugg men’s boots in general. I am hooked. Give them a try and I’m sure you’ll feel the same. Back to the Hannen boots. First off I usually wear a 11 1/2 shoe but went for a size 11 after trying them on in the store. I know from my other pair that the fur lining does flatten out over time and then the boot feels a bit loose so I figured the 11 would fit better which it does. Once you slide these on they feel great . The best way I can explain it is that it feels like your slipping on a pair of ugg slippers, there warm lite, and most importantly comfortable. I fought the stigma for years that ugg shoes were for women. A co worker talked me into trying them a few years ago telling how warm they keep your feet and man was she right.
