Easily worth the money if you invest in Uggs
on December 1, 2012
I received a pair of light lavender Bailey Boots for Christmas last year from my mother in law. They are adorable and very very comfortable and warm. But I didn't follow my mother in law's advice to take them to the store and have them water proofed and made the big mistake of wearing them outside during a wet wintery day last year. Both boots ended up with muddy water stains around the toes. Then I spilled coffee on one of my boots too. I thought they were ruined and felt completely horrible - I really didn't want to let my MIL see them because she had gotten me such a nice gift and they just looked awful. I tried cleaning them myself and failed miserably - then I found this kit online. I decided to splurge and buy it and let me tell you it was the best $20 I have spent. I followed the directions to a T with the cleaner (wet the boot with cool clean water, then gently scrubbed the boot with the cleaner on a clean damp sponge). I then let it dry and went to youtube and found a few videos showing how to use the brush. I would recommend doing this since it really shows you what to do and since the directions are so lacking. Now my boots look brand new. I finished them up with the protective spray and now they are ready for winter again. I even resprayed a pair of black Uggs before I wore them for family pictures in the country on a wet day and they cleaned up perfectly, even after getting very dusty and muddy. As other reviewers have pointed out, if you are going to buy expensive boots, you may as well take good care of them so they last longer.
