EDIT: I've changed my review from two stars to five. For context, the original review is below. The update is as follows. The seller reached out to me and asked me what they could do. I explained that I wasn't willing to go to any trouble to return the defective product. They said they didn't care. They just wanted to make things right, so they just sent me a new one, no strings attached. Now I have a cord that works, and they were willing to do something that isn't entirely practical from a business standpoint. *That's* some seriously good customer service.

The cable has a loose wire or something such that the screen is yellow. I can manipulate the cord to get a clear connection, but it doesn't last long. I haven't tried to return it, but frankly I'm sick of having to. While it's important for a company to be amenable to returns (and I have no reason to believe they aren't), I'd much prefer not to have to go to the trouble. I don't see why companies can't just get things right the first time. Mistakes always happen, which is why you should have a return policy, but after 48 years of this, I'm no longer willing to purchase from a company who, from the first purchase, sells me a defective product. Perhaps you're more tolerant (read: younger and less crotchety) than I, in which case I guess you should give them a try. Other than the fact that my screen is skewed towards yellow, it works, and if it weren't defective, the price would have been reasonable.

It's a VGA cable, and it works. I don't know what else you'd want from it. It's all black, which for some people is more aesthetic, and the cables are pretty sturdy (which is pretty normal for VGA cables in my experience.)
They aren't really anything special, it's not like I was blown away by these cables for being the best I've ever seen or used, but hey they sure get the job done.

I bought this cable along with the "VicTsing Gold-Plated 1080P HDMI to VGA Adapter Video Converter with Micro USB & 3.5mm Audio" and gave it along with a spare monitor to a friend who recently had the LCD display break on her new laptop. The display costs as much to replace as buying a new laptop, so her machine seemed like a total loss.

But she used this cable withe the HDMI to VGA adapter above, and she told me the monitor works great. So now she can continue to use her new laptop and doesn't need to buy a new one.

I recently went to a local electronics/computer store to find this item and purchased one for more than 3 times the cost of this one. I returned it the next day because it had nasty ghosting issues with the monitor no matter what resolution the monitor was set for. I bought this one hoping that it would be better but not really expecting anything better because it was so inexpensive compared to the one I bought at my local store. I am very happy to report that this item works as advertised and exceeded my expectations. It works on all resolutions and is quite flexible and easy to work with in a somewhat challenging cabling space. I would give this more stars if I could. UGREEN knocked it out of the park with this one!!!

Bought a new Win 10 system but needed to keep my old Vista system for programs that would not install and run on the new Win 10 . Old HP system had only VGA port and the old cable wasn't long enough so I order this new cable to replace it. Tried and tried to connect it to the system VGA port but could not get a signal to the monitor. The cable connected but just didn't seem to seat properly in the port . All the pins seemed OK but it just wouldn't work. Finally dug through the attic and found the VGA cable of my ancient Gateway Win 95 tower . That was long enough (Gateway never cheaped out on anything, not even cable length). Hooked it up and everything worked perfectly. I painfully decided to finally retire the Gateway from my attic museum but the Gateway's cable and it's 5.25" floppy drive still live on!

UPDATE 3/26/17
Ugreen customer service rep contacted me via email to apologize for the trouble I had with the cable and offered a replacement or refund for my trouble. For a $9 cable I wasn't going to return it and they never asked me to. I applaud the company's outreach to customers to assure a satisfactory shopping experience and to assure the quality of the products they ship is everything we expect it to be. This isn't always the way it happens in real life and it's refreshing... and good business... and worth the upgrade to 4 stars from my initial rating of 1 star.

We purchased this cable to connect a second monitor to a new computer. The new computer came with one display outlet (which we connected to one monitor), and one HDMI outlet. We purchase a separate HDMI to VGA adapter, which we then plugged this cable into at the adapter and then at the new monitor. It worked! We now have a computer set up with dual monitors.

The product picture appears to show a VGA cable that is thinner than normal VGA cables thickness . I was very disappointed when I got the cable in to find it is in fact thicker than the majority of VGA cables, and does not look like the product photo at all. See my attached photo, sorry for the rough quality but you should be able to get the idea

Item arrived next day as always with Amazon Prime. Packaged well along with other items I had purchased at the same time.

Upon opening the bag which contained the VGA cable I could feel the quality was a lot better than one I currently owned. I was suffering with major ghosting on a second hand Samsung monitor. Knowing the issue was more than likely the cheap and nasty VGA cable I was using (Poundland.. LOL). I instantly went onto the web. I needed the VGA lead for next day delivery, so after doing some research and reading reviews I chose this one.

Needless to say I wasn't disappointed. I first plugged it into my old monitor and I could see a significant difference straight away. I moved onto using the lead on my (newish) Samsung monitor. Knowing that these can suffer quite badly with ghosting. I was instantly impressed as all of the ghosting had disappeared and the picture quality was perfect, so much so the resolution was set at 1440 x 900 with picture perfect quality.

So to in summary. Great quality for the price. Would recommend.

Great service, it came one day earlier than it was supposed to.
I had a problem with the screen's signal and I couldn't tell whether it was the screen it self or something else.
After a while I realized that it was the VGA cable that was dying out bit by bit.
The Ugreen VGA Cable is 3 times thicker and heavier and it feels much more solid than its predecessor.
It also has gold output on both ends that is supposed to make the signal stronger and more durable in the long run. Delivers 1080p. as the highest signal which is ideal for my screen. It costs less than £10 (delivery included). It is definitely value for money so far.
It works like a charm and there are no flows or whatsoever. Very pleased.

I bought a 5m cable to replace a much shorter one. I am very happy with this product. The delivery was fast and the cable works OK. However, the delivery charge was 50% of the product cost.

There had been some attention paid to the packaging. It arrived in a large bubble wrap envelope and the cable itself was in its own re-sealable plastic bag. There were little plastic covers on each end of the cable to protect the pins. There was also a little card inside the plastic bag from UGreen saying “Thank You for choosing UGREEN” and giving an email address if there were any problems. If you did need to contact them by email, they also ask for the order ID, which you can find in the Amazon emails or via your amazon account.

I was surprised that the cable was black. For some reason I thought it would be white or off-white, even though the picture on amazon is of a black cable. However, I realised that the shorter cable that it replaces was also black. The cable is thicker than the one it replaces; I do not know if that matters.

Most importantly, it works OK.

Needed this cable to connect a laptop that only had vga, to a monitor with a primary digital connection, but has secondary vga.

Ordered with over 2hrs left on time window to receive the item same day, apparently being delivered between 1800 - 2200. Unfortunately it didn’t turn up until just after 1100hrs the next day. So was disappointed at this.

In terms of the cable looks good quality. No issues straight out the packet. Connected fine. Colour of picture looks fine. Although the text at times looks a little blurry. Although this may have more to do with having the screen split between two windows of web text.

Not used it to watch videos yet, so not sure how this will look.

Max resolution is 1900 x 1200.
