Great Selfie Stick
This is a really solid product. Close to professional grade but a modest price. It serves as a tripod but I use it exclusively as a selfie stick. IMHO, a 2’ selfie stick provides better control than longer sticks.I made a couple changes. I already had a better phone holder than the one provided so swapped that. Then, I used the provided cold shoe to hold a phone shutter button. I got a shutter button with a “thumb” hole and attached it to a “Atmoshue 1/4" Female Thread to Hot Shoe Adapter” using washers and a 1/4” x 20 machine screw. This puts the shutter button right under my thumb. I also made an extension bar from an old flash holder which moves the shutter button down to my thumb when the selfie stick is extended. The shutter button lives on the cold foot (without the bar) as most of my selfies don’t require the extension. See pictures.
