I look forward to reading more by Ms. Kantas. 5 stars.
I'm giving Undressed four stars. While I loved the stories and will likely turn to this short work should I ever find myself with a bit of writer's block, there were several typos. If it were only a handful of errors I wouldn't think much of it as none of us are perfect, but this work collection of works could use a bit of love from an editor.
There was one story about half way through called Childhood Memories that stuck with me. Karina Kantas reveals a piece of her past in this little short story and it reminds me a bit of my own as it would seem we've both have leather clad friends to thank.
As for the other stories, I have now added some more things on my to be read list thanks to some of the excerpts from published works and hope to find them just as entertaining as these little snippets.
There were some obvious typos, 2 or 3 in the first story and then a few others throughout the book, that really threw me out of the narrative. I love poetry and short stories but I found many of these to be predictable and I found the formatting on the poems odd or difficult in a lot of places.
BUT - the stories that were good, and there were half a dozen of them, were fantastic. The ones that are excerpts from her longer works? Well I will be reading and reviewing those. Perhaps the author's strength is novels and I will be able to give those a much higher rating.
To be completely fair, the stories were honest and direct and did touch on some heartfelt topics. The one about the bikers, which was based on the author's own experiences, was quite sweet - but I felt like the ending wasn't as developed as it could have been.
