Rissa's heroine is funny, strong and smart, and most of us have faced at least one of the metaphorical demons she faces, if not the actual monsters trying to kill her. The book is fast paced, but satisfying. You want to see what's in store for Sara next and find out if life does begin after the start of the apocalypse.
On the upside, Sara has a new hero, Officer Matt Espinoza, who rescues her from several supernatural nasties.
But just when things are looking up, Sara learns that something bigger is going on. Someone has begun to open the Heavenly Seals, bringing on the End of Days.
Sara learns she can stop the apocalypse and save Officer Matt and his darling daughter, but she must willingly sacrifice her own life.
If you like lighthearted paranormal novels with a female protagonist who is witty, snarky, and willing to kick ass when she has too, you will enjoy Rissa Watkins' debut novel UNREVELATIONS.
It's an End of Days story with a great sense of humor and a lot of action. Who knew the Apocalypse could be so much fun?
I liked Sara a lot. She was brave and kickass. I also liked Rick and Brandon. Mandi was....a little crazy, really. At times she acted like a brainless b!tch, and other times she seemed genuinely nice. Uriel was an archangel but he seemed more evil than anything. Seriously, he was kind of creepy and really mean.
The ending left me wanting more. I just turned page and... nothing. It was finished. I was like, WTH?!?! I just wanted more.
This book was amazing. I really enjoyed reading it. It was really fun.
I read this in spurts (although the fast spaced made it hard to put down) until the end...the end was a page turner that made it impossible to put down. This is definitely ear-marked as a read-again for me because it was entertaining, and I want to make sure I didn't miss anything.

So this is the first time I have read a book by Rissa Watkins.
I fell in love with her writing style just two pages in, and still on the acknowledgements!Read more
