-It was easy to put together—I did so when I was nine months pregnant by myself hardly glancing at the instructions because it’s pretty easy to snap everything together.
-It is so light and easy to fold up and put in my trunk as seen in my photo. Opening and closing it use different latches so it takes a few days to remember but once you get it, it takes a few seconds.
-It is very compact so when I’m wandering the aisles of stores trying I’m not bumping into things or getting into people’s way like I have seen with many other strollers (also shown in my photo).
-There’s a huge basket on the bottom that I just toss stuff into and most of the time I don’t ever need to get a grocery cart when shopping.
-I think you can buy a cup holder if you really want one but there is a little holder within the basket that I use for my backup bottle or a water bottle but you definitely wouldn’t want to put your Starbucks cup in there or anything as it is just a loose fabric pocket.
-The height is perfect for someone shorter like me, I haven’t played with the adjustments but if you’re taller you might want to check on the specifications to see how high the handles go.
-I’ve used it on multiple different terrains including grass and a rocky dirt pathway and it’s so smooth my baby never wakes up.
-It looks so nice and you can really see the quality in person.
-I purchased the Uppa Mesa car seat that snaps right in (you need to get extensions if you’re using a non Uppa car seat ) and eventually will transition to the seat that came with it when my baby is ready.
-I got the Cruz because I don’t intend to have another baby anytime soon but if you are planning to you might as well get the Vista as it will hold two kids at a time and isn’t too much more bulky.
-The Skip Hop stroller cover as seen in some of my photos fits nicely and I never take it off now that it’s winter.
Hopefully this helped if you’re debating purchasing this stroller, good luck!
THREE YEAR UPDATE: Well, I did have another baby soon, ha. But my first child is now two and a half so we were debating selling this stroller and getting the Vista to be able to fit two seats. Instead, we decided to get the little add on piece for the back where toddlers can stand and it’s worked out great (plus I read that toddlers shouldn’t really be sitting in strollers past age three for their development). He loves being able to hop on and off and we didn’t have to shell out another $800+ for a new stroller. This stroller has held up so well for the past few years even through tons of travel and now we’ll use it for our new little one. Still the best baby purchases we made!

I researched strollers for a very long time and while I initially loved the style and features of the Cruz I wasn't sure I could justify the price. I originally settled on buying the Chicco Bravo Travel System (stroller, carseat, and base), mostly because the Keyfit carseat is supposed to be one of the safest on the market. While the carseat and base have served me well I immediately disliked the Chicco Bravo stroller. It was large, bulky, heavy and made of cheap plastic and fabrics. It took up well over half of my normal sized trunk and while the carseat clicked into the stroller very nicely the stroller seat wouldn't be useable for months and infants are not supposed to spend extended periods of time in their carseats. After being annoyed with lugging around a 30lb. stroller for a few weeks I learned that the Cruz had a Chicco Keyfit attachment piece, bit the bullet, and ordered both hoping I wouldn't regret it. I did not.
Features:
- light but sturdy
- large storage basket (I have taken this thing through Costco w/ no cart)
- the foot brake works well (despite some reviews that seem to be confused (?) by the design of the foot break - you simply place your foot on top of the distinct red break, push down at an angle to lock then push the break back to flat to unlock)
- the SEAT
- forward facing or backwards facing
- fully reclinable
- adjustable foot rest
- bumper/belly bar
- 5 point harness that is very easy to adjust
- large, adjustable canopy w/ peaking window
- the fabrics are good quality and easily wipe clean
- the handle bar has adjustable height
- locks closed when folded
- stands when folded
You can easily attach several brands of carseats, I purchased the Chicco Keyfit attachment and it works as expected. I also purchased the infant snug seat and the carry all organizer which I also highly recommend. Uppababy seems to consistently exceed my expectations in terms of quality and usability/maneuverability.
As for the complaints about the wheels on the Cruz in many of the reviews, I have had no issues. This stroller is built to last but it is not a jogging/off road stroller. It's great for everyday use and casual walks, etc. You can order extra wheels and maybe over the life of the stroller you may find that you need to but that is still significantly cheaper than buying an entire new stroller everytime you get sick of it.
It is also worth noting that my 5 year old also fits in this stroller meaning I will be using this stroller for years to come. I wish I had found the Cruz when she was little because it would have saved me a significant amount of money over the years, I have purchased at least 4 different strollers since she was a baby and grown tired of each one. Someone recently described the Uppbaby products as "intuitive" and I couldn't agree more.
