Sounds to me like the problems many of us have had are doomed to repeat and a new review would find the same flaws.
Below is original review:
I had high hopes for this when I saw the price and what it
Promised. I had my eye on the phantom 3 standard as I do a lot of video editing as a hobby but couldn't justify spending that amount on something that really is just for fun. When I saw this I jumped on it. It flew great out of the box but the camera had a mind of its own when it came to starting and stopping recording. I got an advance refund and reorder the 4K version. This one came and would not fly correctly. Randomly initiating a landing sequence (not return to home) but a whole other LAND message on remote not mentioned in the manual. I swapped gimbles and drones before sending back my return. Leaving me with a working 4K camera and the working drone from the first order. All of this being approved by g10 in advance as the copter is the same across 2k and 4K versions. After this I tried many flights over a 2 week period. What it finally came down to was the fact that no matter how you fly and how good the resolution is. The image is always shaky. Missing the 3rd axis in the gimble is one thing but the whole image just shakes. So much so that Final Cut Pro x can not come close to stabilizing it. Finally after viewing so many beginners posting phantom 3 standard video with no post stabilization that were flawless and the price being only $120 more I sent it back and have the phantom 3 on its way. To wrap it up. It really seems to be a crap shoot if you will get a working unit. Amazon has twice now stopped shipping temporarily due to "issues" with its stock. G10 was great as far as getting back to me and trying to help me. Can't fault there customer service. But there is a fatal flaw in there quality control. If you want to try your luck and you don't plan to use the video for any more than seeing what you can from high up and don't mind the shakiness. Then you very well could end up with a fun toy. Make sure you order through Amazon though so you know someone has your back
Yes it can be a little unstable as some have said, but it wasn't as big of a deal as people made it out to be. Battery is tough to get out and the plastic part did pop off on me, but fixed it with no further issues.
Then came the disappointment. I took it out for a second time and first fight was fine. Started flying it again and the drone took off failing to respond to the controller. I was lucky it hit a tree and not a house or car. I put the camera back on and took off... Like last time... A few minutes into the flight the drone just took off failing to respond in any way. One again, I was lucky it hit a tree.
Unfortunately, this is an issue I can't risk. It's either going to fly away never to be seen again or possibly hit a house, car, or person.
I wanted to like this... I really did. There is no other drone with this many features anywhere near this price. If it wasn't for this problem I would give it five stars, but unfortunately this is a deal breaker.
