Product Description

Product Description

Acrylic Honey Jar with honey dipper.

Amazon.com

Durable, inexpensive, lightweight, and clear as crystal, this shapely acrylic honey jar is designed in an appropriately ribbed beehive style. The ribs refract light pleasingly, while the jar's transparency shows off the honey inside. Under a lid that invisibly joins the bottom, the jar holds 1 cup of honey. A honey dipper's handle-knob pokes through the lid. Lift the lid to use the dipper; if the dipper's already in the jar, just replace the lid over its knob. Though it's best to hand wash acrylic with a nonabrasive cloth or sponge, this 6-inch-high jar can safely be cleaned on a dishwasher's top shelf. --Fred Brack

This jar looks nice and all of the other reviews are accurate. Still, the top doesn't seal which allows bugs in. This is not ideal for the storage of honey anywhere that bugs may be in the vicinity.

Cute container and sturdy. The only issue is that the top and server have to be removed together to serve the honey, a little awkward and messy. It is attractive on the table and I would order again.

Wow, who knew there were so many honey jars out there. Wanted glass or ceramic and not plastic when I started, but learned from other customers that some of the ceramic ones were from china with LEAD used in making them. Next eye opener was that most do not list country of origin, a dead giveaway as to where they are from. Did find some that were made here in the USA with no lead used in making them, but could not find one I liked. So I bought this US acrylic jar, and love it. Is just the right size for one or two, but would require frequent filling for a larger family. The stick that picks up the honey is easy to learn how to use to keep the honey on it until you place in your tea or over your cereal, and like the way the lid slides off to allow ease of use.

So cute, and just the right size! Honey is easy to get out, you can clearly see how much you have, and it looks great on the kitchen counter!

This is an attractive way to hold and serve honey. My butterfingers son uses it every day and hasn't hurt it yet. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the top is not completely sealed when lid is on. As you can see in the picture the wand leans to one side leaving a small opening that gnats can get in. One did just that to mine. If it had been designed slightly different, wand a touch longer, that would not have happened.

This honey pot is NOT DISHWASHER SAFE. I washed it on the top shelf of the dishwasher twice. The second time it came out covered in tiny cracks. At this writing I have been using it for a month and it is holding together.

Looks great and works great! We always wash ours by hand so the acrylic doesn't get scratched. Shows of the beautiful amber color of our honey and keeps it from getting too messy.

This is a really classy looking jar. I was a little surprised to find that the whole lid lifts off, rather than the server lifting out of the top, but it is completely covered so no little critters can make their way into the honey. It really looks like crystal and I hope it stays that way.

Bummer of a product, looks cute but the fact that the top does not snap in place makes it messy.
