I was opening and closing it a few times when all of a sudden the spring assist just stopped. Almost feels like it is rubbing up against something now. The knife still has some tension in it when the blade is opened but won't snap open all the way, has to be manually opened all the way to the frame lock. Might try to take it apart and see whats rubbing around there. Some feedback from other users or people in the know would be nice. I know the knife is really cheap but I don't really see the point in getting another if it's gonna crap out in a week or two again. Hopefully this is just a one off defect. Too bad it doesn't have the thumb stud like the shuffle so it could just be a regular folding knife again.
All that said. I bought it for fun because it looked cool and is cheap as hell. The complaints on here are ridiculous. I'm totally happy with it. It's a neat little thing to have laying around. Never had an orange blade before. Fun to keep in my coin tray for grabbing when I need to open a box or a beer.
The one problem I had is that the first knife lasted only about 5 months before a screw came out of it. Then basically, the knife fell apart. Thats why I gave 3 stars. Otherwise I would rate it 4 or a 5.
I'm on my second one now. Hopefully this one will hold up better. If not, then I may have to go with a different brand. But for now, I really do like the MT-A882Ch.
