Top Customer Reviews
I'm not sure it heats evenly, though -- seems like the two in the center didn't get quite as done. Use a pastry bag with a large, round icing tip on it to pipe your dough for the rounded tops a regular fried donut would have. Using a plastic bag with a corner cut off produces a flat line of dough and results in donut tops that look more like crullers. I iced mine, so nobody can tell the difference, but glazed or plain donuts will look funny if you do it that way.
This is one of the nicest pans I've ever owned. Like some other reviewers, I'm going to gradually replace all of my pans with those from this company.
Yes, the donuts were rather flat on one side, but since I've not been able to eat donuts for more than 10 years (diabetic), finding a paleo recipe for donuts that I could eat necessitated a pan. This was the best pan as it makes full size donuts, not minis. I will definitely buy this brand of pan again.
