Even better, it produces a very even crust, one that's not too thick or dark for my family's favorite whole wheat sandwich bread. Cleanup is a breeze, I spray them with hot water, run a soapy sponge over them, rinse again and let them air dry.
I ordered this size as additional pans to use with my bread machine. I let it do the mixing, kneading and most of the rising. Then I can shape the dough and let it rise one last time in my USA Pan loaf pans. A 1.5-lb loaf is a little too big for the larger pans (mine rises up really high), but the 2-lb loaf split between them isn't quite enough. I think these will be just right for baking 2 1-lb loaves.
