Second, a poor manufacturer design flaw. It shows be sealed at sides where gold in metal are. I hand washed, dried, and it still dried water from lodging in folds. I shook, dried, stood there a few minutes repeating. I set on a goal and waited an hour. The towel was damp. So pan cannot be immersed in water. You have to be concerned about this. No dishwasher and no immersion. Hand wash and wipe only.
These pans have turned out delightfully browned loaves each times, and it's a lot easier to build the foil collar when there's no protrusions. The loaves rise well and turn out of the pan with ease. I am incredibly pleased with these pans.
