Then this pan is for you!
I make muffins a lot. I mean like multiple times a week. I used to have to use liners but I'd find that I'd run out of them and I am not about to go back to the store to buy them in the middle of muffin time. Ain't nobody got time for that... I now preheat oven, make muffins, put the batter straight into the pan without doing anything to the pan (not even spraying with non stick spray) and into the oven they go.
After baking, I leave them in there for about 2 minutes, then I turn the pan over. The muffins pop right out. It's like some kind of Harry Potter witch magic.
They made this pan intending that you should pass it on the the grand-kids. It's that well made.
First, it's heavy. You see it all the time in ads - "commercial weight", "professional quality"; well, I managed a bakeshop for 4 years and this is truly a commercial grade pan.
Second, it fits in my microwave. That may sound crazy, but I use my microwave and a very hot towel to rise gluten free yeast breads (thanks, Nicole!). So it fits perfectly and my breads rise to the occasion.
I used some baking spray under my first batch of gluten-free burger buns, and when I pulled them from the oven there were droplets of spray on the pan. Not baked-on grease, but droplets that rolled off into the sink. The buns were perfectly browned and lovely. I'm sure that after 400 uses, if I live that long, the non-stick coating will still be laughing at sticky stuff.
I bought this to make GF burger buns for my hubby, and it did that very well. I'll have to come up with some other recipes to keep it feeling useful.
Cleanup? Please. A swish with the soapy sponge and done. A hot water rinse would have done just as well.
It's pricey, but if you are looking for a pan that could very well outlive you, this is your jam.
Update one year later: Still LOVING the pan. I use it for just about everything, making small cakes instead of one big one, little cornbreads, mini pies and tarts, you name it. Slip the little guys into a zippy bag and hubby has a snack when he wants it. Cleans up easily and nothing sticks, well worth the price.
Even later update 8/14: The pan was starting to show some darkening from built-up grime, since I just swish it clean. I used scrubbing bubbles (yep) sprayed on for about 5 minutes to loosen up the crud so I could scrub it off. Take care, the cleaner can probably strip the coating if left on too long. Oven cleaner is great for my half sheet pans but I'm afraid it might damage this one.
I will say that brownies stick to it now if I don't oil it a bit.
I used these pans (and the Chicago metallic mini cheesecake pans) to make about 50 mini cheesecakes for a friend's wedding.
Note: I am NOT a professional baker, I just enjoy baking!

Very deep (if you want a larger cheesecake)
Very easy to wash, minimal residue left behind
Don't need to water bath your cheesecakes anymore! No cracking with these mini pans :D
Only 6 to a pan (great for dinner guests, bad for large quantity baking)
The size is pretty large for a one person portion (which I assume is the goal with a mini cheesecake pan) People I worked with commented that they were too large for them
The edges of the discs are slightly sharp, but knowing this, you can be careful and avoid cuts
The pan browned the edges slightly, which wasn't a very pretty result (I did try decreasing the temperature to 325 and increasing the time with minimal success) In contrast, the Chicago Metallic pans did not brown at all
Difficult to remove the cheesecakes (i recommend using a flat ended utensil to push them up from the bottom because if you use your fingers, you will likely get cuts. It's a difficult balancing act to remove each one!
I did not wash this in the dishwasher. I washed it by hand and immediately dried with a towel.
In conclusion, it comes down to size preferred. For my friend's wedding, I preferred the smaller cheesecakes from the Chicago metallic pan. The Chicago Metallics pan did not brown the edges as the USA pan did, which is another reason I preferred that one.
