  • The first print issue should arrive in 2-4 weeks. Details

International Addresses: Magazine subscriptions offered at Amazon.com can only be shipped within the 50 United States, APO/FPO address and U.S. Protectorates. We are unable to process magazines to other destinations at this time. Please contact the magazine's publisher for further assistance.

When to Expect Your First Issue: Magazine subscriptions ordered at Amazon.com are shipped to you by the magazine's publisher. The first issue of a weekly magazine should arrive within 4-6 weeks of your order. The first issue of a monthly magazine should arrive within 6-10 weeks, unless otherwise noted.

Once you've placed an order at Amazon.com, it can take one to two weeks for your subscription to be received and scheduled by the publisher. Your subscription is then added to the publisher's next production cycle and shipped via standard mail. For example, if your monthly subscription was ordered and received by the publisher in November, and the December issue has already shipped, your order may be added to the January mailing. You can find out more information, including how to contact the publisher about your subscription, in Amazon's Magazine Subscription Manager.

Renewing Your Subscription: If you are ordering as a renewal to the same name and address as the current subscription, the publisher will add the Amazon order to your current subscription. For example, if you have 5 issues left and you add 12 through Amazon, you will now have 17 issues left on your subscription. Please note that the expiration date in the Magazine Subscription Manager will not reflect if you were already on file with the publisher. We will work with the publisher to ensure that you still receive all of the issues left on your subscription.

Publication Frequency: Magazines which show "irregular" availability are those which are not published according to a regular schedule. If you place an order for such a magazine, you will receive new issues as soon as they are available.

  • Control your subscription settings anytime using Amazon's Magazine Subscription Manager.
  • If you purchase the auto-renewing offer, your subscription will renew at the end of the current term. Before it renews, we will send you a reminder notice stating the term and rate then in effect. Cancel anytime.

3.0 out of 5 stars Caution about renewals December 28, 2008
Subscription Term Name:1 year|Verified Purchase
If you are already a subscriber to USA Today and just want to renew, you should probably wait until your existing subscription is about to expire before ordering through amazon. USA Today doesn't seem to be able to make the link between the existing subscription and one ordered through a 3rd-party, resulting in a less-than-full year extension. I like the paper tho - it is the only way I get national sports news; my local paper only covers the local teams.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best source of information, if that's all you have. December 14, 2012
By JavaRus
Subscription Term Name:1 year|Verified Purchase
My nephew was sentenced to 24 years in the "Ham" for a stupid stunt when he was 17 (attempted robbery with two 16 year old boys). The "Ham" is an old state prison near Lovelady, Texas. Clyde, from Bonnie and Clyde, served time there. There are no TVs, little access to outside information, no air conditioning or heating, and certainly no cell phones.

Families are not allowed to send gifts. The only option families have is to pay a publisher to send books and magazines. Even these are reviewed by the prison officials for "acceptable" content. You can't send holiday gifts, nothing but letters, books and magazines. I received an official letter from a prison official saying "you can't send extra stamps in your letters.. it's a 'violation'".

Well my nephew loves USA Today! It's the best source of news and cultural information that's printed daily, and it's a great holiday gift. His release date is not for another 4 years, but since rehabilitation is mostly "virtual" in Texas, USA Today is helping to prepare him for the shock he'll have when he steps outside that prison after 24 years. Without USA Today he wouldn't know much about cell phones, personal computers, gps devices, etc. Now when we visit him, we can talk politics, technology and national events with him. Without USA Today our conversations revolve around prison food with is pretty bad.

5.0 out of 5 stars RE: THE NATION'S NEWSPAPER April 24, 2014
Subscription Term Name:1 year|Verified Purchase
I'm a longtime subscriber of USATODAY, and I feel it is the best newspaper I know of or read in America. Also, if you buy the hard-copy subscription, you get all the digital editions as lagniappe. In other decades, I traveled widely abroad and enjoyed buying the international editions of USATODAY. Further, this newspaper listens to its readers and actually values their input. Though there are high-brow papers and financial papers, etc., this is the paper of choice for me and mine.

2.0 out of 5 stars I enjoy the USA Today and have subscribed for many years November 28, 2014
By LP.
Subscription Term Name:1 year
I enjoy the USA Today and have subscribed for many years. But, any one who would pay over $1 a day is crazy. Call the subscription department direct and negotiate their best deal, it will be at least 30-40% off this price for them to grab a new subscriber. After you have bargained them down, tell them you want 3 years at that price. Same deal on renewal, negotiate direct. Or, let it expire live without it for 30 days and you are considered a new subscriber and take advantage of new subscriber rates. Or, you can renew in your name but use another phone number (that is how the search subscription status) and you can even renew in a friends address and then in 2 weeks transfer the subscription back to your place. I have never paid more than 60 cents a day ever. Great paper, stinking price for a 5 day paper.

5.0 out of 5 stars Going to Renew for $100 Cheaper March 22, 2014
Subscription Term Name:1 year
Got my renewal from USA Today and it is $315.00. Unbelievable! So I started searching and found this on Amazon. I love this paper and can't believe how they treat loyal subscribers. FYI for those having delivery problems......I found out that USA does not deliver but contracts with my local paper to deliver. I don't subscribe to a local paper but they are my delivery service.

1.0 out of 5 stars Abysmal Customer Service February 5, 2016
Subscription Term Name:1 year|Verified Purchase
Where do I start? This is has been an epic story of some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I've lost track of the number of times I've called and lost track of the number of things I was told that turned out to be inaccurate.

My dad wanted a subscription for Christmas. I first placed a digital order for my dad's iPad. I then learned that the digital paper works only using Flash Player, which iPad doesn't support. The woman I spoke to told me that I could download a third party app to support the paper. My dad is not tech savvy, so I asked her to cancel. But she couldn't even find my account. In fact, no one could find my account for nearly four weeks, even though I was getting e-mails from USA Today.

After being assured that my father would receive the newspaper every day (he lives in Iowa, so carriers are limited), I placed an order for the print version. When all was said and done, he receives two or three papers at a time, at irregular intervals. I was just told that this was standard, and I was given inaccurate information earlier.

I also continued to be invoiced for the digital subscription, even though I was assured it was cancelled. Several times I was told I would no longer receive bills and was paid to date, but I continue to receive them. I was just told that I would continue to receive bills (with amounts owed) even though I owe nothing. I asked them to send me a written notice confirming this.

Short of recording our phone calls I don't know what else to do. I can't recommend highly enough against this company. New York Times is clearly the way to go.
