I purchased this to connect BT headphones to my Nintendo Switch. It was instantly identified by the console as an audio Bluetooth device, so certainly no issue there. Since many will connect this to client devices (ie. no GUI or advanced BT interface), and the only thing controlling this is one button, getting two "blind" devices to catch each other in pairing can be a little tricky- perhaps depending on brand/firmware of receiving devices.
But once that's done, audio is great! It comes with a 3.5mm microphone adapter for headset-style communication (don't think that's needed often on Switch), a USB-A to USB-C adapter- to plug directly into the Switch dock, if needed, and a small protective case for everything in the package.
One thing I've found particularly beneficial is that the transmitter is around the size of a Switch game card, so it fits nicely into my (and likely other) Switch case game holder. So most people shouldn't have a problem tucking it away somewhere.
I can't speak for other consoles and different brands, but aside from slightly messy Bluetooth, this is an excellent add-on for the mobile gamer.

This product met all of my expectations. The sound quality is very clear and volume is no issue. It is very easy to use because it is only one button and is powered by the console, so there is no need to charge it or remember to shut it off. I was using a pair of Beats by Dre Solo 3 wireless headphones to connect to the device and it worked great the connection never gave out. I also wanted to see what the limits were on the connection, so I went to different rooms of my apartment and it still stayed conneceted around 30 feet which is way more than I need. The only bad thing I would have to say about the pairing is you need to be patient with it. It did take about 15 seconds for my headphones to dind the device but to me that is not a big deal at all. I use it mainly for my PS4 which is a massive money saver because none of my headphones can connect with bluetooth so i dont have to spend 100 dollars on a specific headset that only stays charged for 6 hours or so. Its a 25 dollar alternative that you will not be disappointed by and definitely gets the job done. It does work on my Nintendo Switch as well so a dual threat adapter for 25 dollars is a steal. I will be recommending this unit to alot of people for sure.

I will start this by saying I really like the bluetooth adapter. It connects extremely fast once it has been paired to your headphones. The sound quality is good. There is no interference or dropout. So why 4 stars instead of 5?
1. no multi pairing. It only remembers the last device it was paired to
2. Pairing is finicky with certain sound devices. Namely true wireless style earbuds. To get this to work you have to turn off bluetooth from your phone or anything else that might have been paired to your headphones. Then the dongle will pick up the handshake.
3. Stuttering sound upon changing audio device. If you pair it with one listening device and decide to pair it to a different listening device, the new headphone will have stuttering every few seconds. Its a simple fix. Turn off your listening device, unplug the adapter. Plug the adapter back in, then turn on your listening device. From that point forward there should be no stuttering unless you pair it to a different listening device. I figured this out because I paired the adapter to my two of my over ear headphones (vmoda crossfade wireless gen 1 and codex edition) earbuds (samsung galaxy buds) and Stereo Speakers (edifier) and gaming headset (turtle beach elite 800)
Now that the negatives are out of the way here is what you wanted to know: Latency. It is virtually nonexistent across the five devices I tried. I tested latency the most with the turtle beach headset and the vmoda crossfade 2 wireless. I did this because they can both be wired to the switch, so it allowed me to go back and forth between blueooth and wired. I am pleased that gunshots in Doom didn't sound delayed and energy balls in Drabonball Fighterz were right on cue. I don't know how they did it, but it really is low latency despite not having AptX LL codec. Neither of my audio devices have this codec anyway. Vmoda Crossfade 2 have Aptx, AAC, and SBC(standard) The original Crossfade Wireless just have SBC, Turtle Beach elite 800 has AAC and SBC, the rest of my devices are a mystery to me.
Audio quality will always be better when wired. This comes extremely close and you won't tell a difference unless you A/B back to back.
If you have multpile headsets and speakers and you want one ring to rule them all, it will take some work to switch among them. This affects me because for travel I use my samsung buds, in my bedroom I use my Vmodas, and docked I use the turtle beach which allow me to use bluetooth and optical at the same time. I have the switch doc feeding bluetooth to the headset and my PC feeding optical. This way I can watch netflix or youtube on my pc when farming titanite (praise the sun!)
If you only have one bluetooth headset to worry about, just get this thing it is worth every penny. There are alternatives that have power pass through, I didn't want to gamble with that. There are alternatives that connect to two devices, which sounds compelling for someone in my situation, but I suspect they'll have lag because they use AptX LL which only works with a headphone of the same codec.

Once you get it working it works great, often I find myself having to re-pair it each time I want to use it, and that is super annoying, it’s much cheaper than other alternatives, and it works. Can’t complain too much.

遅延と音飛び、LEDランプの点滅が気になりました
Reviewed in Japan on October 12, 2019Verified Purchase
