Worked nicely on day 1.Then on day 2 it would not power up. I plugged it into another USB port,it worked. I tested that "non working" USB port with my other powered USB hubs,it worked as usual. There must be something wrong with this Tendak USB Hub.On day 3 it would not powered up again even when I plugged it into a 3rd USB port.
I don't think I want/need to deal with it like that,so it was returned. I gave it 2 stars because it worked nicely when it worked.
Update: 8/19/17
Manufacturer emailed me to send me a replacement to test again. I am only willing to revise my previous review after test using it again for 1 whole week.I am convinced that the first one I received is defective as this replacement one work flawlessly for more than one week with no issue at all. When compare similar (identical)products that have the same features,this one works fine but is much cheaper. Will buy again for sure.

Finally! A USB 3 hub that not only has a cord long enough to reach around from my rear USB port, but it actually works! I've had others that either have a very short cable, don't operate at USB 3 speeds or don't work at all. This is the first one that didn't disappoint me.

I tested this by running a benchmark test on a USB 3 flash drive both in the hub and plugged directly into the computer's USB 3 port. There was no performance degradation by using the HUB. If I ever need another USB 3 hub, I'll buy another one of these.

One of the features I like about this is that although you only have to touch the button to power on the port, you have to hold it down to power it off. This prevents you from accidentally disconnecting a device you are using.

Update 2/27/17 - I just ordered another one for another computer.

Powered USB 3.0 hub with a long enough cord and a charging USB port

Not a whole lot to get romantic about over a USB 3.0 hub, but there are a couple very good points to this. First, the USB cord connected to the computer is a good length so you can actually move the hub out of the way (I have a laptop and I keep the hub behind the screen). Second, the power switches to the different ports are a nice-to-have feature. Something you don't need, but something you can appreciate when you have it.

If there's one quibble I have, it's that the power cord is about eight inches shorter than I'd like. Not that it doesn't work for me where I have it, but if I had that extra bit of slack, I'd be happier. Oh, and that USB cable from the hub to the computer is pretty thick. Like thicker than Ethernet cable thick. Not a problem, just one of those things you look at and wonder if you're running a washing machine from your USB port.

Oh, and that little charging port that is always on is very nice for charging a phone or tablet without looking for an outlet. Love that too.

All in all, probably the best USB hub I've owned.

Installed on a macPro 3.1, OS El Capitan. The USB3.0 pcie card works with all USB drives directly connected to the card. Put this thing in, with power, and it does not work. DOA. Drives do not appear. Not for a spinning HDD nor for a flash drive. Yes, I did turn on the port so it shines blue LED.

So I pulled cable from the hub and put it in directly to the card, BAM...the drive pops up.

HUB IS POS. Edit: <B>Hub is OK. I was wrong</B>

The drive that could not be seen was a format OSX 11 didn't want to see....NTFS. I have a utility on my other macs that allows NTFS format to be seen by OSX and I thought i had it on this box as well.. It took crawling under the desk and switching cables to Win 7 box (worked OK) and then to W10 box (ditto) to show the canary feathers on my lips.

Appologies!!

The issue was not disc format but a really antique pci-e spec in which the USB3.0 card had to be plugged into in this 10 year old mac.

Brought additional USD ports to my Dell XPS

I have a Dell XPS tower that has served me well over the years and still works great with the exception that the four built-in USB ports on the motherboard failed. Fortunately, it has two additional USB ports, but they are used for the keyboard and mouse. I missed the dual monitors and printer connections...until I added the Tendak Hub! The price was good and it worked like a charm. There is also a fifth USB port for charging my phone at a higher speed while I'm at my desk. I'm very pleased.

The ports have a blue light to make it easy to view in the dark. The lights remain on when the computer is on, including sleep mode, but they are off when it is shut down.

Just as described and was plug and play on my Surface Pro 4, which only has one USB port so this is really a needed accessory if you are going to use a similar device to attach multiple USB devices. I used it to connect a mouse, Ethernet to USB adapter and external hard disk. All were plug and play through this hub!
I did note turning power ON for each port requires only a momentary push of the appropriate button, but to turn off you have to hold the button down for a few seconds, which is mentioned in the manual. This is a plus so you don't accidentally turn of a port by accident when adding or removing another device. Great value for the functionality with the only negative being the power supply connection to AC not being 'thin' enough to allow use of adjacent outlet on a power strip. I have short extensions to get around this problem but wish manufacturers would all jump on the thin power supply bandwagon when the supply directly connects to the AC source.
