I purchased this microphone specifically to record audio for my podcast, and it works like a DREAM. Easy plug-and-play interface, with a pop filter on an adjustable stalk included. The tripod is nice and stable, and it can be adjusted to a comfortable level for your seated height. Talking over the microphone rather than into it produces the best quality sound. Very even full-bodied sound, not tinny or crackly. Some slight reverb, but nothing that a bit of padding in your recording space doesn't fix. (I literally propped a pillow behind my laptop and it fixed the problem.) Excellent microphone, very good quality for the price, great starter equipment for podcasting, voice acting, any kind of vocal recording really.

Like many teachers, I find myself suddenly in need of improved techology for virtual meetings and instruction purposes. This reasonably priced microphone is an excellent upgrade from the mics attached to my headphones or in my computer. Set up was very easy as the computer immediately recognized the device and the included instructions walked me through how to access the device for optimization of volume settings. The microphone cord is long and it comes with a small tripod style stand allowing me to set up the microphone at a comfortable distance while maintaining excellent sound quality ( I did ask a number of people about the sound quality of the microphone from their side of the meeting and received positive comments). I prefer the foam cover for meetings but like having the option of the pop filter as well so I can utilize the microphone for a number of potential settings and situations.

I bought this microphone because I was upgrading to some nice headphones from a gaming headset and just wanted something affordable and that would work as well if not better than just a headset microphone. They needed a little tweaking in the sound settings of windows as my friends told me I sounded quiet. A little finicky as 97% was too loud and 95% was too soft so obviously 96% was just right but it just took a little bit to find the sweet spot. Overall very pleased with this purchase and would recommend them to someone as long as they know where to adjust the settings.

Great microphone, pick up clearly from about one and a half arm's length away, place sideways on the desk, no problem, plug and play USB device, no setup necessary in Win10, I also discovered that it will record in DVD quality.
I used it primarily for the video conference call with co-workers, everyone can hear me clearly from the other end, even I stay way offside of the microphone, I have the desktop speaker behind the mike, and it did not pick up or amplify the echo, great tool.

I purchased the microphone as with so many of us I work remotely almost exclusively now. The fan on my laptop screams especially when I'm on a virtual meeting and you can hear the whir on the other end as a high pitch sound.

With this microphone it completely cuts out the background noise AND to my pleasant surprise it makes me sound VERY crisp, cutting out the little bit of echo I have in my office. I've started recording my own videos with it and has a total difference in the quality of what I create.

The microphone added the drivers upon plugging it in Windows 10. It becomes an option in all applications I can chose this microphone and have ended up making it default in Windows.

In short, it may be one of the lowest cost options but for me it was exactly what I was looking for.

I would like to give this a higher rating, but it just didn't do much for me. Maybe it's my laptop having issues, but the sound on this is very quiet. Then if you turn it up it starts crackling... I was screaming into the mic to get it to register I was even talking. Had the mic set to 80%. Set it to 100% and it was so loud it crackled through my speakers. Tried 90 % and it seemed to work ok, but would crackle here and there. Not impressed.
My stock mic on my laptop works better.
Will update if later on I use it and I get it to sound better.

Bought this to record online lectures for university students. I had some disappointing previous experiences with headphones-integrated mics so decided to buy a dedicated USB one. Unfortunately, the microphone is very noisy and does not constitute a real step up from integrated microphones. Looks like a cheap microphone was coupled with cheap electronics to convert the voice to digital via USB... Immediately returned to Amazon. Just to clarify, I have experience with professional equipment, this was properly installed and used to the best of its performance.
