Our Black 6 foot Micro USB Cable meets the USB 2.0 Hi-Speed specification, it is also backward compatible with 1.0 and 1.1. The type A male end plugs into your computer, laptop or wall charger and the micro typeB male connector plugs into your device. The contacts in the connectors are gold plated to prevent corrosion for the life of the cable. The USB Micro B connection is a very commonly used connection on cell phones, GPS units, PDAs and other mobile devices. The Micro B is favored over the Mini B for its slimmer connection type while still performing at the USB 2.0 specification of 480 Mbps.

Then the cables (both of them!) stopped working after a few days. Nothing I did would make them work again. I didn't even move them around- the cables just sat next to my bed plugged into my charger all day, it's not like I was twisting and turning them around to pack them in my bags or something.
To kick it all off, these cables don't transfer data at all. When you try to use them to backup data on your phone or tablet it doesn't do anything; the computer won't even register my phone being plugged in.
I DO NOT recommend. I threw these away and I'm never coming back. At least they weren't that expensive.
Unfortunately, they have changed their design. These are not as good as the other ones. This cable lasted Me 2 weeks before it stopped working the way it should. It no longer charges fast charge and half the time does not stay connected to my phone. I know it's the cable because all of my other cables work fine.
Partially my fault for not reading the RECENT reviews for this cable in which several people are complaining about the same thing.
To the seller: Why not just pull this piece of junk off Amazon instead of selling a substandard product like this? Honestly at this point after reading THIS many reviews about charging issues, are you still comfortable with putting this thing up and having people believe this is a normal cable which will work properly?
When it comes to using this cable simply for charging my Note 2, I would rate it 3 stars out of 5, because it does charge the device but is nothing extraordinary to give it 4 or 5 stars.
When it comes to file transfer, I rate this 1 star (because that's the minimum; I would rate it zero stars if it were an option) because it just doesn't work. When I plug my Note 2 into the computer using my pre-existing usb-microusb cables, the computer automatically opens a folder for the Note 2's external drive/memory card, and I can drag files to and from it like any other file transfer on the computer. When I do the same with this new usb-microusb cable that I'm reviewing at this moment, the phone registers it as plugged in as an "Installer" instead of the external drive, which gives me no file transfer access whatsoever. The moment I switch to my other cables, this issue is nonexistent.
The price of the item was what got me to notice it but the fact that it's a six foot cable was the reason I chose to buy it. I was a little concerned about buying a cable for only a dollar since I was afraid I might be getting something of cheap craftsmanship. I know it's only a cable but I thought maybe the price was too good to be true.
In the end it's only a charging cable so I can't predict any situation that would cause it to break on me since it's only going to stay on my nightstand to charge my phone overnight so if someone is in need of a longer cable than the short ones the OEM provides for most phones then this would be a great option.
