My son has very fair skin and very light red hair so the Dr. warned us to be vigilant about sun protection. He is 3 months, but I purchased the 6mo size because he is already 15 lbs and 25 inches. I didn't want him outgrowing the smaller size midsummer. I washed the sunzie and he wore it the first time today. It is very light, you can see his white diaper through it. It's also very soft and seems comfortable. It's 77F today and even being pretty sensitive to heat he seems to be content in this. It is much more breathable than his normal cotton onesies. The manufacturers sizing seems to be correct plus it's stretchy, he would've fit in the smaller size but this one works just fine too.
I haven't really tested the protection level yet, but it's got to better than applying sunscreen everywhere and much better than overheating in a normal weight cotton.
