    Good kit and good results
Installed as a WAP in a townhouse to assist with coverage of upper floors. Fortunately the building was pre-wired with ethernet cable. I jumped one lead out from the router and ran it to the PoE (which is included, happily). Then I connected the PoE to the house wiring cat 6. I'm served by Cox panoramic wifi with a wireless hub. PoE sends 24V over approximately 55 feet of cat 6 cable. That powers the system fine. Mounted on the ceiling of the 4th floor signal is still adequate at the ground floor, although not needed because the ISP router and hub are on the ground.I got over 35 Mbps download and about 12 Mbps upload with that configuration and distance in the room with the AP.I used the recommended app to set it up and install. There are a few videos out there to walk through. It went very smoothly. Allow it to update and restart a few times. You should be fine. Otherwise you can use a PC to program it.What I didn't know for sure and I'm confirming now for you is that the kit includes a PoE with AC cord. And, the AP works on dual bands which give you 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. They can be separated by SSID and passwords if you wanted to do so in the admin utilities.I'll post an update or negative review if this thing doesn't keep up the good work. But I am very happy with the quality, ease of use, and performance right now. This should cover all my needs, but if I needed to add another, I would get another Ubiquiti AP.Updated to say that in a day things got better. Dell Inspirion 15 was getting 150 Mbps download, iPhone was getting 250+ Mbps, and Android phone clocking around 120.Your results will be individual. But after mapping itself, the AP does great. Signal broadcast strength is less than the base Cox WiFi router (to be expected) but the AP hit all the hard to reach areas that I planned. Still considering adding a spot for the middle floors 😀

Got it adopted easily and the pre-configuration for the Wifi networks worked well with the UDR. My only complaint is that its difficult to mount on the wall with the provided plate.

I bought this to replace an old Trendnet AP that while did work, was no-longer considered viable after the company stopped putting out firmware updates. Also - I reviewed many models of AP for my home - I was going to use a Wifi router - but ultimately chose not to as it conflicted with the router I already use. Mostly I wanted to improve my connection and the ability to upgrade to multiple AP's without having lots of issues made this the best choice.

Is this the best you can get AP? idk - I honestly do not have the funds to buy multiple AP devices and test them.
Is this going to solve my issues with some signal loss only 2 rooms away? yes it already has, I have 1 extra bar of signal and not seen any signal drops in the room furthest away from AP. (3bd 2bath home single floor) I even see slightly increased speed tho that could just be my perception as I know the limiting factor is my ISP. I have not speed tested yet - cause Wifi is is only used by my friend mostly for her Laptop - I use it for the phones internet connection but my main PCs are hardwired gigabit speed. only other item I would use it for is netflix on tablet PC and im sure its perfectly suited as my previous device was ok - but it was showing its age and had some signal issues, hence the upgrade.

Many people have tossed around the "expert" label - I dont classify myself as an expert - though I do know enough about wifi / networking and etc - I have a degree in computer networking and have for years been doing IT / computer networking stuff. I dont know it all - infact there is plenty I could still learn, however to learn more costs money in terms of books / software / hardware and stuff - but I can hold my own with most home / small buisness networking needs (even some larger networks) only thing I dont like is cloud based stuff..

I would defiantly buy again - and fully intend to add more Ubiquity items to my future networking plans - its a bit overkill for a small home network - but its far cheaper then say the uber gaming ready 300 dollar Wifi/router device's Ive seen. More so since I already have a very good wired router (small business class - with higher data throughput then most SoHo routers) and I have two switches behind that all at gigabit speeds.. so to go any faster would require fiber connections and I dont think my internal network is really needing that.. yet.

I'm a Ubiquii fan. Easy to setup, easy to manage and they just work great. I got a bunch of AC-Pro access points to cover a couple of building with WiFi. BUT, one part of the building is set off and didn't get a good signal. Only a couple of people there.with modest bandwidth needs and the AC-Lite made a good solution.

Of course it's PoE (power over Ethernet) so only one cable needed. Saves time and money.

Because it was the only Prime in stock I got one form Amazon Warehouse model, but that one came DoA. No bad on Uniquiti. I just rolled the dice and lost this time. Kudos to Amazon for an easy return. This is the only failure I've had with dozen's of Ubiquiti AP's and switches. A new one I got worked perfectly if later than planned.

I use a cloud key to manage the network.and the management interface is excellent. You'll either need a cloud key for use the pure ubnt cloud option.

If you don't need 3X3 Mimo or the higher speeds of the AC-Pro the lite is a good option. Couple that with the consistently excellent management and easy setup of all the Unifi components and it's a 5 star winner for me.

This access point is a fantastic product. I was a bit hesitant to purchase it online, but I'm glad I did. The price was cheaper than what I found in-store, and the performance has been excellent.

Setting up the access point was straightforward, and it provides strong and reliable Wi-Fi coverage throughout my entire house. I no longer have dead zones or dropped connections, even in areas that were previously hard to reach.

The access point itself is compact and discreet, so it doesn't stand out or clutter up the room. Plus, it's compatible with the UniFi Controller software, which allows for easy management and monitoring of the network.

Reviewed in Spain on September 22, 2018
