This review covers the following four products and the Ubiquti Bullet that was purchased else where:

AIMS PWRI18012S 180 Watt Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter, 12 Volt
HQRP 50W Mono-crystalline Solar Panel 50 Watt 12 Volt in Anodized Aluminum...
    Ubiquiti POE-15 Power Over Ethernet
HQRP Solar Power Controller 10Amp 150W with Digital LED Display plus HQRP...

I am reviewing them all together because I purchased them and used them all for the same project.
I needed away to obtain a line of sight connection to the local ISP provider where I live on a Caribbean island. To make this possible I was going to have to build a solar powered wireless access point on the hill about 250 yards from the house. I used all the above referenced items along with two golf cart batteries. This project was installed about 7 months ago and is still working. I have not had any problems with any of the above referenced products so I am giving them all five stars.
With just my wife and I home we have internet access whenever we need it. When one of my adult children stays over we loose the internet (power) around 2:00 – 3:00am in the morning and do not build up a sufficient power supply until about 3 hours after sunrise. This is most likely due to the constant streaming on internet content requiring more power. Of course this does change according to the weather if we have a lot of cloud cover the usage is diminished, but it is solar power after all so that is to be expected.

I wanted a POE adapter power supply unit that would be able to run a WIFI access point transceiver outside about 100 feet away from the POE adapter power supply. And I wanted one that had enough reserve power it would run cool and not be over taxed. This one met everyone of my needs. Definitely a 5 star plus unit. So I bought an extra to keep with me. I have never needed to use it as a replacement yet. All of the ones I have in service just keep going and going. This has been an amazing product. I used to rely on the ones that came with the equipment I bought, but any more I don't. I buy one of these and use it instead of the ones that came with the WIFI product. I have to learn most things the hard way I guess, and this was one of them. Thanks for your time! Jimmy, WX9DX

This little power supply does a great job. The only problem I have with it is that it is VERY sensitive to power fluctuations, surges, lighting in the air - ANY major voltage/power spike will kill it. It is designed to blow it's internal circuitry when this happens, but it happens with no way for the customer to recover from it (ie, not fuse you can replace or circuit breaker you can flip). I use a Ubiquiiti long-range wireless system on top of a 30' antenna mast. Whenever there is lightning in the area - JUST IN THE AREA, mind you - not striking the device - the power supply fails. Again, this is intentionally from what I understand to protect your device. However, you can't reset it - you just have to buy a new one. But with that said, it's a low-cost part that works great (except for what I mentioned). I keep a couple on hand for lightning storms!

This is an OEM replacement that works well. The picture on Amazon shows a 220v plug but if you order it in the US it comes with a 110v plug. The power supply works fine on both 110v thru 220v. If you get the 110v plug and use the device in the EU you will have to have a basic adapter 220v to 110v.

It was new in the package. I ordered this thinking I needed it but the Ubiquiti PicoStation comes with one, so it is a 'spare' for my uses. Still, in my use of Ubiquiti equipment, it is commercial grade and not 'home' or 'consumer' quality. In stepping up my equipment, this is part of what is needed to upgrade our wireless network around home.

You can't beat the price for a POE injector, but mine (purchased from a non-Amazon source) failed after about 90 days of operation. It's not worth the hassle of returning such a low cost product, so I ordered two more from Amazon. If I have another failure, I'll move on to another brand for future use.

I've purchased three Ubiquiti POE-15's over the past year. In each case I used them to power Ubiquiti Bullet-M2-HP's to use as Bridge Stations. I've installed two so far, one a year ago, and will install the third soon. I've been pleased with the performance of the power supplies. They are easy to use, simple to set-up, and do not get too warm. Ubiquiti has a more powerful POE but my experience with the POE-15's is that they are just right for the Bullet-M2-HP.

This item worked perfectly for a voltage and current monitoring device that required the 15Vdc power injection.

All other 48vdc power injectors failed to properly turn on this voltage device. This voltage recording device is the Power Monitors Inc Boomerang that has the POE feature.

Wish the manufacturer provided this injector, would’ve saved us the headache.
