This works, here Is what it did for me. I have three video cards. two gtx 1070's and one gtx 560 ti without this card my motherboard would only see the 1070's in the primary slot. If i put them on a riser in any other slot they were not detected. they would be detected if the riser was in the primary slot. the 560 would get detected no matter where I put it so at max I could have one 1070 and the 650 going. I plugged this in to a random slot and connected my 2nd 1070 and the 560 card to it. when I got in to windows I could see the two 1070's but not the 560. shutdown connected both 1070's to this put the 560 in the primary slot started up everything was detected. I used the same slot on the card that the 560 was not detected in for one of the 1070's so its not a port problem its just this riser does not see the 560. So moral of the story it may not work for older video cards but it did make it so I could see all my 1070's running two cards at exactly the same speed as when they were in the primary slot. I have two more 1070's on the way but probably wont update this review unless I have trouble.

This thing was a pain in the butt to get working but I finally manged to do something close to what I was intending on doing.

I have 4 risers I was intending to run off of this thing and was only able to get 3 because it did not like one of my risers that I knew for a fact worked (version 007A) but worked with the other 3 (version 009s)... pc would not even boot with just the 007a riser plugged into this thing... so I'm thinking this is a riser specific piece... but most likely may throw issues if you intend to use with different versions of risers... so could be an easy install, could turn out to be a pain in the *** but all in all I finally have my 6 card frankenrig running all cards so I am pleased

Just for reference I used this in a AM4 crosshair 6 Hero, this has enough pci slots for 6 cards but for some reason my bottom 4x slot will not work no matter what I do and down time for an RMA is not an option, so I bought this splitter

I'll admit that I was taking a small risk by purchasing this riser extender. I'm puzzled as to how it works - it's interface is only one PCI-E lane, yet, it allows four one-lane PCI-E devices to connect. I thought this would never work, but I owed it to myself to give it a try.

This thing works perfectly! I am using it in an old ASUS motherboard from a few years ago. I can't easily locate the model number on this motherboard, but it's running an Intel i7 920.

It might not work in all PCI-E slots. First, I tested it in an actual x1 slot and it didn't work at all. I moved it to a x16 slot, and now all works as expected. I currently have three Sapphire Nitro+ AMD RX580 boards connected to it, and they're all mining ethereum at full hashrates (~31.5 Mh/s) Another GPU will arrive today and it will be taking up that last slot.

I would highly recommend this for purchase. Just be aware that it might not work in all PCI-E slots.

super skeptical at first, bought the first one and turn my one 1x PCIe Dell XPS motherboard into 4pcies, of course with the raisers it came with. worked straight out of the box and that I was able to maximize my old motherboard. I bought other options available to maximize my other motherboard a mini ATX motherboard, which seem more affordable at the time; however, nothing worked and i was lucky to get two pcis to work. After the good experience and how well it has been working for a couple of weeks, I decided to buy another one. When I came in the mail I used it on my mini atx motherboard board and realize that I should try it on my Dell XPS 16x PCIe, and long behold it works, so now im able to squeeze 8 pcies in my Dell XPS and now I'm shopping for another 2 for my mini ATX.

It was late and I was shopping on Ebay for parts for a new rig. I accidentally ordered the wrong motherboard /facepalm. I didn't even realized it until it arrived. A micro atx with only two pcie slots. I was pissed at myself but also didn't want to wait to return it then wait for the right board to arrive. I decided to give one of these a try despite some of the one star reviews and thankfully it worked. I'm sure it probably doesn't work in every situation, i.e. with every motherboard, but it worked fine for me on the ASRock H81M-HDS R2.0 So far I have only three of the four ports in use but I have a card on the way and will test out the 4th and update my review accordingly. But at this point even with only three in use I'm happy with the purchase.

I have been using 2 of these to create a budget 6 card miner. I use 3 of the 4 slots on these cards and have had minimal trouble. Only problem was the initial setup- getting all cards to register. Updating ALL drivers for the motherboard fixed this problem for me. I use both simplemining OS and windows 10 nicehash to mine for eth and miscellaneous coins on nicehash. I am buying more to expand into another 2 mining systems as I have lots of free old computers and only need 2 of these + power + video cards for each system. Saves me about $300 per sys.! And runs great!

Word of caution: I did fry a motherboard trying to load 8 video cards on 2 extension cards. So now I only go up to 6 cards. No problems yet! Good luck ya'll!

I’ve had this running two 1080ti cards off one pcie 16 slot for about 24 hours with no weirdness. Hashrate might be off by 10 Sol/s. I had mixed results in various slots on the board (gigabyte ga-z270p-d3). I was able to get it to recognize three 1080ti cards at one point but since I only needed two I did not experiment further. Definitely had to plug in one card, power up, power down, then plug in second card for them to be recognized. I’m skeptical of running 4 cards on this but so far, so good.

I finally got around to using it. I have 3 mining rigs running now with 5 amd’s in each and 5 nvidia in the third. This worked like a charm on the nvidia cards and an older Asus Maximus motherboard. I am only using 2 of the slots so I haven’t filled it yet but I will. I see some bad reviews and all I can say is that it does work and doesn’t fry motherboards! I actually tried it in a really old evga motherboard first and it work in that one as well with 2 nvidia cards hooked to it. I was sceptical but for the 25 bucks I said what the hell and gave it a try. It definitely works for me!
