Perfect size for playing cards; just what I needed.

This works great for what I bought it for - turning my mountains of unused and mismatched playing cards into tags.

Some of my older cards are really narrow and it's a bit of work to get them lined up exactly right in the punch, but so far every card I've found has fit eventually.

Cuts nice and clean - only thing I wish is that somehow it punched the hole at the top too, I keep getting them crooked!

At first I was super happy with this XL punch. It made big beautiful tags like I wanted in a price that I could afford.

However, after less than 100 punches, it started to stick and slip. I read somewhere to try punching through wax paper, and that made it WORSE. I tried applying wax to the cutting edges, and that did nothing. After carefully cleaning all the wax off with a soft cloth (which was quite a chore), it will at least punch now, but it still sticks EVERY TIME.

I've tried carefully analysing what the problem is (looking at it upside down as it punches), and it seems the trouble is in the construction. The back edge closest to the hinge (of course where it's hardest to reach!) either isn't sharp enough, or there is too wide of a gap between the "blade" and the wall inside, causing the paper to slip and bend through the gap rather than being cut.

The result us a frayed edge in that corner every time, and frequent sticking in a place that's extremely hard to get the jammed paper out. I should point out that I have never punched anything but single sheets of scrapbook paper with this. After my experience with it so far, I know it can't handle multiple sheets with that bad corner, and doubt it can handle cardstock.

Very disappointed, and would not recommend. Wayyyyy to much of a pain in the neck to hold it upside down and baby it for every single punch, and then to have to pull the jams, and trim the bad edges. Totally not worth it, even for the price. It gets three stars because it's cheap and it works (albeit only reluctantly now), but for ease of use and durability, more like 1-2 stars.

Love it Great Quality Very sturdy and made very well. It cuts very nice and clean.
I do recommend cutting a piece of paper at 3-1/4" x 2-1/8" to see if this is the size you are wanting. This one was a Bit Bigger than I wanted. But I did purchase another one that was the perfect size. This will still be used in the future I know. I would also totally recommend this punch ot others and will be purchasing others of the same brand in the near future. :0) LOVE IT!!!!

Gets the job done, doesn't give a clean cut

I'm giving this 3 stars because it's able to fairly easily punch through 80# cardstock. However, I can't get a clean cut. The right and left edges tend to be somewhat crisp, but the top and bottom edges need to be trimmed with a scissors after being punched (the punch leaves shreds of paper around the edges and slightly tears the bottom right corner of the tag. I'm not exceptionally happy with the product, but on the other hand I needed to get these tags made for a wedding and it gets the job done (messily).

Ordered this to make tags for my handmade crafts. I wanted to try it on regular paper before using on my adhesive sheets of thicker paper. It won't even make a clean cut on the regular paper. So disappointed and mad that I spent money on something that does;t even work. Will never buy this brand again. $17 down the drain!

Please do not purchase this punch!!! The entire tag DOES NOT fully punch through any weight of paper. Ive tried several different types of paper and the back end of the tag does not punch all the way out. I was excited to use this tag punch for a Mother's Day project in my classroom, however this Uchida Tag punch does not work well at all.

This is a great size for the tags I'm making for my daughter's wedding. My only concern is that after using it for only about a dozen tags so far, it doesn't quite give perfectly clean edges every time so I'm having to trim just a tiny bit with scissors afterwards. That said, it's an easy fix and still well worth it for me personally.
