"Air Intelligence Report: Analysis of Flying Object Incidents in the U.S." by the Directorate of Intelligence and Office of Naval Intelligence, dated 10th Dec 1948, is a highlight. This includes such details as, "Subsequent investigation eliminated the possibility that this incident [the George Gorman dogfight with a UFO] may have been another aircraft or a meteorological balloon."
There's the Wilbert Smith "Geomagnetics" Department of Transport memo, in which he mentions a secretive group led by Vannevar Bush. There's also an FBI Teletype message from the Director to its Dallas office, concerning the alleged MJ-12 papers: "The Office of Special Investigations, U.S. Air Force, advised on 30 November 1988, that the document was fabricated. ... The document is completely bogus." Then there's a 1961 USAF letter, the Betz memo, concerning Moon Dust and Blue Fly, and there's an interesting CIA memo from 1953 to the Assistant Director, Scientific Intelligence, in which it is stated, "ATIC is in the process of transferring project Bluebook to Hq., Air Defense Command." The same memo later states that Flying Saucers Have Landed by Leslie and Adamski "is so nonsensical and obviously fraudulent that it may actually help calm down public reaction."
Overall, an interesting selection of documents that will be of value to anyone looking to research the history of UFOs.
