Got the 4pc and it is an excellent travel rod. For the price, definitely no regrets. There are better travel and all around rods, but not until you get to about double the price point on this rod. Pairs well with a 2000 or 2500 reel and this is a great setup that you aren't afraid of it getting some scratches, as travel rods often do. Wish it would have come with a sock if not an actual case, but likely not in the budget.
Otherwise this is a good rod and a definite step up from the cheap rod reel combos you often see. I think for both travel and the 1 and 2pc rods, you need to get into the $100 - $150 price point to find a meaningfully better rod, a fenwick hmg or st croix triumph for example, but not much if anything else this good for the price. Throw a diawa revros or similar on this and you have a very usable combo for well under $100.
