About the Author
Edward Winterhalder is the world's leading authority on motorcycle clubs and the outlaw biker lifestyle; his eleven books about the culture are sold all over the world and published in multiple languages. He was associated with motorcycle clubs for almost thirty years, and has been seen on CNN, Fox News (the O'Reilly Factor with Bill O'Reilly), Bravo, Al Jazeera, BBC, ABC Nightline, MSNBC News Nation, History Channel, Good Morning America, Global, National Geographic, History Television, AB Groupe, and CBC. In addition to his literary endeavors, he is a consultant to the entertainment industry, and has produced episodes of TV series such as Outlaw Bikers, Gang World, Marked, Biker Chicz, Living On The Edge, and Gangland.
Iain Parke imports industrial quantities of Class A drugs, kills people and lies (a lot) for a living, being a British based crime fiction writer. He became obsessed with motorcycles at an early age, taking a six hundred mile cross-country tour to Cornwall as soon as he bought a moped at the tender age of sixteen. After working at a London dispatch job delivering parcels on a motorcycle, he built his first chopper in his bedroom at university, undeterred by the fact that the workshop was upstairs. Armed with a MBA degree, Iain first worked in insolvency and business restructuring in the UK and Africa, where he began work on his first thriller The Liquidator. The success of that novel propelled him to write a biker lit trilogy about the Brethren Motorcycle Club, which has recently been optioned as a series for television in the UK. Today Iain lives off the grid, high up on the North Pennines in Northumberland with his wife, dogs, and a garage full of motorcycle restoration projects. He is currently working on a number of book projects, including another biker-based trilogy.

As with all things, there has been an evolution. The writers of today have a different style. The other history is still being told by investigative reporters, the history however is being told by the individual giving us a closer look at that individual. And, the fiction is being told from the writers stand point. It’s more what he thinks as opposed to the job at the hand.
With that in mind, we at Motorcycle Fiction would like to present:
“The Ultimate Biker Anthology”
An Introduction to Books About
Motorcycle Clubs and Outlaw Bikers
Edited by Edward Winterhalder & Iain Parke
This publication starts with non-fiction. People such as Peter Edwards, David Charles Spurgeon, Ed Winterhalder, Ralph “Teach” Elrod and Tony Thomspson have contributed. Each of these segments tell a story from the Patch holder standpoint.
The second part continues on into the fiction arena. Ed has included authors such as Iain Parke, Ed Winterhaulder, Vic Shurtz, Max Billington, Troy Mason, and Gene Lewis.
Anyone of these authors will give you a good story and leave you feeling good.
However, that was not Ed’s goal. The goal of this anthology is to give you a sampling of what’s out there and maybe introduce you to a new author. Ed has been very successful in his endeavors and his intent is to help others gain that same success.
Kudos to you Mr. Ed Winterhalder We wish you the best.
Every chapter in this book is a reprint of a chapter from a different book about bikers.
They follow up each with a description of the book and the author.
