I have mine right now over by the center of the apartment, for grease the groove training. Every time I pass it, I do a dip. Go from the kitchen to the bedroom, dip. Bedroom to living room, dip. Living room to bathroom, dip. In a weekend I end up doing a lot of dips. It helps.
I actually didn't buy it for a dip station. I'm doing Convict Conditioning: How to Bust Free of All Weakness-Using the Lost Secrets of Supreme Survival Strength and needed it for step 2 of the pull up progression (it's perfect for that). I ended up loving it for dips, knee raises (I may use this instead of my chin bar for those) and straight leg raises.
With the information provided, you can get a really good full-body workout from just this. I didn't think it could work the legs, but the straight leg raises hurt after very few reps. So do the abs. I am very pleased with this.
It's made out of quality materials and so far has been very durable. I'm 6'3" 290lbs and this thing can handle the strain I put on it - from full body dips to let-me-ups it stands firm in place and doesn't feel unsafe at all. It's smartly designed to use your weight to make it more stable, which is cool because it allows it to be VERY light and easily collapsable.
It doesn't take up too much space (maybe has a footprint of about 3x3 feet), and is easy to collapse down. So you can stick it under a bed or a couch when not in use. For the price and the level of exercises you can get out of this thing - skip having the weight machine...bowflex...or whatever other overpriced isolated-muscle-training crap equipment and get back to the basics with this dip stand!
It IS a little rickety in construction and rocks a little when I put my full weight on it, but not in such a way that I feel unsafe or off-balance. The metal is solid and you will realize this as soon as you pick it up. It's heavy, this thing ain't gonna break. It folds to store out of the way, but not without some work. you have to manually disassemble it in the middle and then rotate the legs so they lie flat. But for those two issues it would have got 5 stars.
Anyway- I got this today; put it together in ten minutes (not mechanically inclined and even I could do it) and even got in some reverse pushups! Yes! Thank you Amazon!
ps..not sure I understand the negative comments about the quality of the piece- it is good for the purpose in which it was intended- I've spent thousands on my home gym and this will be the one that gets the most play because of the diversity of the exercises and the intensity of the workout (hopefully also the results I have always wanted but never been able to achieve before)!!!

The Long Winded Part: After doing P90X and X2 for a long time I recently switched to more conventional mass gaining training techniques. The program I opted to use stated Dips being one of the work outs. I decided to take a shot on this product but was reticent, believing it too "gimmicky". I read a few reviews about it wobbling and was indeed concerned when i first assembled it as it shook a bit. Once my weight was in it though it kinda, locks into position and doesn't go anywhere, even with 215 pounds bearing side to side. The hand holds are decent (I put on lifting gloves for a better grip).
Shipping: Came well packaged and in pristine condition.
Set Up: Color coordinated. I'm the type of dude who can't hammer a nail without bending it and I managed to put it together in under 5 minutes.
Space: Folds up perfectly for storage in my tiny apartment between the dumbbell rack and the wall.
The Work Out: Triceps are killin' me 2 days after using it. Don't feel the "body weight row" exercise really works though. Maybe with feet elevated on a bench or something.
OVERALL: Awesome little piece of equipment to have around. However, if you are strapped for cash, stick to chair dips for your triceps.
