Any person who loves trivia and enjoys information in list form will love this book. The lists are written by author and editor Jamie Frater and several other list writers that are fans of the Listverse website. This makes for a very entertaining read because the style of writing is different from one list to another. I recommend this book highly to anyone that loves learning new facts and enjoys lists from every different category under the sun.

This is a very entertaining and interesting book chock full of a wide variety of top ten lists spread through a number of categories. I find it hard to say which part I found most interesting. I think it will depend on which areas you the reader find most interesting. I liked that I wasn't as interested in some lists as I was in others. That shows me that a wide variety of readers will find this book to be fun and engaging.

Read it because you want something light and fun to enjoy. That's what I did!

I normally shy away from books based on a website because they are usually just the website in book form and end up being about 130 pages of "not-worth-buying." Not true with this book! This is 706 pages of pure awesome (not sure why the description says 432 unless the layout is different, it is definitely the same book). This is much easier to bring into bed or the bathtub than a laptop and it's perfect for reading for when there's just enough time to be bored but not enough time to get into anything (I'm a grad student, have chunks of time between classes or waiting for people). The BEST thing about the book compared to the website (which I also love like my own child made it) is that if I only want to read a couple lists (or 50) and then start homework I might actually do it instead of getting distracted by the rest of the internet.

Besides being an awesome read that will make you smarter and help you win trivia games, it's a big heavy book that you could use to press flowers or kill spiders and, if carried in a backpack, could be used to defend against would-be attackers. Why haven't you bought it yet? Stop reading this and go click "add to cart"!!!!!

I purchased this book because I enjoy trivia and everyone who stops by my desk asks to borrow it. It is very interesting and I really enjoy the history I've learned that I never knew in this fashion. Definitely a keeper!

This book takes you to many fun facts or in many cases the author s opinions. From this book to go on to explore other area's of knowledge. It's all done with a simple writing style, so it is easy to get though. Sit down, relax and just enjoy.

I bought this book for my 13-year old son as a Christmas present. He couldn't put it down. When he was finished reading it, I picked it up and was fascinated as well. He has gone back to it several times, re-reading sections. Some of the facts and stories were a bit gross but all the stories were, at the least, interesting and a few were mind-blowing. If you like those Ripley's Believe It or Not books, you will enjoy this one too.

There are a lot of interesting facts in here, but this book was by multiple authors and it showed. In one chapter, it says how the idea that Santa Claus was created by the Coca Cola corporation is nothing but an urban legend. Later in the book, it says Santa Claus was created by the Coca Cola corporation. In one list is says no one could survive a free fall from 12,000 feet. In another list it talks about a woman who survived a free fall of 15,000 feet. And they sure picked some odd inclusions in their lists. Seriously, why on earth would you waste ink talking about the movie 'White Chicks'?

This is not a book that I would recommend. I bought the book to use in my training classes as an icebreaker. I was hoping for lists that would be fun and creative....and ones that people could actually guess. This is loaded with obscure and uninteresting topics.
