Product Description

SYAxon Rey (Filipovic) is a heavily decorated war hero and former tactical police officer who has been recruited by a covert government organization to fight enemies of the State. Schooled in the martial arts and the latest high-tech weapons, Rey, now code named Sphinx, is an elite member of the Sanction Division of SATO (State Anti-Terrorist Organization), a clandestine collective of assassins under the direct control of SIN (State Intelligence Network). Sphinx failed his last assassination mission. Normally, the state dealt with such a failure easily--it executed the executioner. Since Sphinx is their top assassin, his controller, Janus, decided not to eliminate him, immediately. He sends him to a rehabilitation island called Gulag 7 where Sphinx must face 5 opponents: other government operatives who have been sent to the island for various reasons. Refusal to fight means death. Now, he must fight his way off the island. It's kill or be killed....NOPSIS:

Do not buy this POS on ANY format! It is without a doubt the worst acted, worst directed, worst written and worst filmed so-called movie I have ever seen in my life and I have seen alot of bad movies. It's a travesty that this was even released on Blu Ray at all. The PQ on this is horrendous! I just wish I could give this zero stars because I surely would.

Trust me, instead of wasting your money on this thing, put gas in your car or go buy yourself dinner. There are way better things to do with 90 minutes of your life than submit to this.

This movie has the biggest delta between the description on Amazon and the actual content of the movie. Unlike Hong Kong B movies, this title has not only poor acting, poor lines, and crappy camera work, but also surprisingly bad picture quality. I kept thinking that I could have done a better job with an analog video camera from 1988.

The "action" in the movie is bordering on the ridiculous. For example in the opening scene the main character easily overwhelms a half a dozen guards with a suppressed pistol, even though all of the guards were within ten or so yards of each other. This is followed by an execution scene that borders on the comical. And it doesn't get any better.

Short version: save your money.

Apart from the weak plot, I find the fighting scenes to be poorly Choreographed, not to mention the acting which leaves a lot to be desired!!
Most importantly, I find it incredible that this piece of junk was actually on 1080p format as the picture and audio qualities were far below that of standard DVD's!!
I actually threw my copy in the GARBAGE after patiently watching the first 15 minutes of this trash. I should have just tossed my $16.95 in the garbage in the first place!!

Sphinx (Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic) is an assassin, one that was "made" like Jason Bourne. He is a rather large and ominous person dressed in black, clearly the assassin in the room. He has a pet rat which he seems to care for in a bad "gerbil" sort of way. After he fails to kill a woman witness, he is sent off to an island where he exhibits some of the worse on screen kick boxing since Pam Grier stopped making films.

You might find parts of the film funny for the wrong reason. I thought the metal soundtrack and basic plot outline were passable, they just couldn't do anything with it.

No f-bombs, sex, or nudity.

Why elite forces armed with automatic weapons would, rather than shoot the person they are assigned to kill on sight, instead try and engage in up close hand to hand combat is beyond my comprehension. This happened about 3-5 minutes into the movie and that is when it hit an extremely high level of stupid and unrealistic. Fortunately I stopped watching then and saved myself from wasting 90 minutes of my life. This movie should be rated one star only across the board.

The movie has lots of glitz, graphics, and some special effects. It lacks a plot. The fight scenes lack imagination. Once or twice I might have thought he'd lose the fight, then he won. There were sections where the background sound overpowered the dialog, which further distracted from the plot. I'd like my time back please.

The acting, plot and direction made me stop the movie after 15 minutes. The action was good but even that could not pull me through...

Trying to decide if this was a made into a movie video game or the other way around. Either way, it would explain the lack of depth. If you fondly recall those days when you were twelve years old and daydreamed of action, gun play and other fantasies then this one is for you. Gave it two stars because it is not the worst movie I have ever seen (but dangerously close).
