This book has contributed to a permanent change in diet. Learning how delicious real food is altered my concept of eating. My wife and I still use recipes in this book on a daily basis. When the Daniel Fast ended, our commitment to eating things that bring us life continued. We still eat the Cereal, which is far more nutritious and filling than other breakfasts. Almond milk, hummus, super green lettuce mixes, fresh fruits and vegetables...I now eat these because I enjoy them, instead of reluctantly or out of obligation.
Specifically the cereal, almond butter bites, and wraps are all things we consume on a daily basis after the fast. We have largely eliminated additives from our diet, and the difference is amazing!
I recommend this book as a way to fundamentally alter your perception of food, not just as a tool to get through a fast! It might sound terrible to give up foods that you "love". What people don't realize is that they are being tricked into loving those foods, chemically and scientifically tricked. It is only when you have given them up that you can see terrible food for what it is, and what it does. Then you are free to decide for yourself what tastes good and what makes you feel good.
I purchased the kindle version, which has contributed to me using the recipes so often. I have my favorites bookmarked, so I can open the app and find what I'm looking for quickly. This is the first time an eBook has proven itself more valuable than a hard copy!
