I write my books with a lot of dedication and from the heart. I have a passion for online marketing and for supporting and encouraging others to make the changes that can grow their online business. The idea is that you set up a Pinterest account and then you "Pin" your interest up on boards that are content or interest specific. The site is made so that pictures that you found pretty, interesting or otherwise caught your eye can be saved and shared.
The author reports that in the US and the UK the first adopters have been women who use the site to share everything from wedding attire and themes to recipes and food pictures. There is a huge craft contigency as well as groups devoted to art, fashion, design, etc.
The book does a great job of explaining how the site works and how to make the most of your presence there. She spends a good chapter discussing the copyright issues of posting pictures that you do not own and the author also gives you the lowdown on the proper etiguette of the site.
If you are a business that wants to set up a promotional type site (magazines such as People and Better Homes and Gardens are early adopters), Ms. Taylor walks you through how best to go about this including information in set up, SEO and other marketing advice.
Pinterest is as addictive as Facebook but it is, in my opinion, much more pleasing to look at. You must be invited to become a member but the author will get you that invitation if you just email her. This book has everything you ever wanted to know about this site and whether you are looking for information on how to best use Pinterest, for business or for pleasure, this is your book.
I have read other material on Pinterest. I've tried other tactics. I've like them all, to be fair and honest, but I found Ms. Taylor's book by far the most comprehensive Pinterest Guide of all. I've got a business of my own, and according to the information in this book, I believe what I have learned will help me to greatly increase exposure to my business and of course that will result in an increase in sales and income.
Ms. Taylor even gives you some data about websites that are similar in nature, because as you may know, once one thing becomes big...there are bound to be others to follow. It is nice that she shares this information and I found it to be helpful. Then, as you find in most Pinterest guides, Ms. Taylor covers the very basics, including setting up your account, how to 'pin' and how to use other social media with Pinterest. Moving on to the part you are waiting for is, "How to Cash in with Pinterest." There are also examples and advanced strategies to help you further.
There is so much to say about this book, but I don't want to give too much away. You simply have to read it, re-read it and implement what you learn. The screen shots are great; big, clear and current. I think that if you want to learn to properly use Pinterest to make money online, this may very well be the perfect guide for you.
This book explains how to get started on Pinterest. There are some impressive graphs that illustrate the remarkable and rapid growth of Pinterest.
Chapter 7, "How To Cash In With Pinterest?", features different kinds of businesses that are using Pinterest to market their products and services. The author advises entrepreneurs to "pin" their products and services in a catchy way, add a description and link back to their site.
The author also lists the top 10 "most Pinteratctive and engaging brands" and the top "Power Pinners" who have made the most of Pinterest.
Chapter 9, "Advanced Pinterest Strategies", really gets into the meat of how to use Pinterest to market your business. The author instructs readers on Pinterest SEO, how to optimize your profile, how to optimize your web site to encourage "pinning", and how to optimize your pins and boards with hashtags, mentions and likes.
The author provides a step-by-step plan for using Pinterest to market your business at the end of this book.
I found the sections that listed the different kinds of businesses that are using Pinterest, the most "Pinteractive brands" and the "power pinners" to be very interesting. I now have a list of people and companies that I want to follow and learn from.
I thought the step-by-step plan for using Pinterest to market your business was very, very helpful. As a matter of fact, I think this list was the highlight of the book. It is a very good summary of the book and will be a significant help as you get your feet wet on Pinterest.
I have one complaint about this book. I read the book on my Kindle and found the digital formatting to be lacking in quite a few places. One page had two words on it. Many pages just had two or three sentences. I think this problem could be corrected and the book would be much more pleasant to read.
