The author claims to work or have worked in marketing; clearly proof-reading is not his strength. Ignoring what demonstrates a lack of competency, the guide contains very little information of real use, if one is considering moving to Thailand. The content is for the most part, an aggregation of the most basic, trivial information, already accessible for free in a multitude of places. I would suggest not wasting your money on this book, as it represents the least value I have ever received in purchasing an ebook and the title is a fraud.

To add: what I also did not add in my review on 16th Aug but do so now, is that I had a $5 bet my bad review would be soon 'countered' by a fictitious review stating that the book was the best thing since sliced bread. This was one way I saw to recoup my wasted money and get some value out of the book. The new review would clearly be a piece of marketing. Needless to say I will not be spending my winnings on one of the various offers in the 'ultimate' guide, to buy other books on subjects about Thailand that should be in any ultimate guide. This author is a scam merchant of the lowest order.

Would love to see more information on visas that aren't referenced to a link requiring online connection. Book is heading in the right direction, but needs to anticipate the needs of the would-be Expat.

This book was ok, but has the wrong title. It should be called Moving To Bangkok. I've lived in Thailand for quite a while and spotted quite a few things that aren't right. Sounds like all the info isn't first hand, or maybe the info is from other expats who often don't know or understand Thailand.

Here is another of my reviews based solely on reading only the free part, unfair? maybe.
If this part is the best foot forward, do not expect much. I know this part is a kind of introduction, but its superficiality is already showing. I recommend caution.

i think this really hit on all of the major topics, and provided some insight that would definitely help the average traveler, and especially someone moving to the area. There are a few grammatical and spelling errors, but i'm sure the author will update these in the next version. a few of the hyperlinks didn't work in the guide (that i remember), but in this world of google, there's no excuse but to search for them yourself.

I really got more than I bargained for with this book. My husband and I are planning an extended trip to Thailand, and we've been reading everything we can get our hands on. Jason Lee has painted a gorgeous, realistic picture of life in The Land of Smiles. While I expected that, I didn't expect him to divulge information about fashion trends, where to find the latest fashions, how to supplement income using online sources, maps of transit locations, charts, and other maps!

Jason really goes into detail about life and the lifestyle in Bangkok. This book is definitely one of the best and most comprehensive books about living in Thailand that I've found to date.
