I received my copy of this book on release day and then hesitate to read it. After all it is the last of the “Anderson” series so delaying the inevitable seemed reasonable. This last installment is great with a wonderful ending to a long running series, but couldn’t there have been quads born and two were adopted by the doctor and his wife? LOL
Lance Storm is the last of the Storm men that is single. He has succeeded more than what his father wanted for his children on that famous day 6 years ago, when each child was cut out of the will and their trust funds taken away.
We find out that Lance spent one perfect night with Alexa Mills, at his brother, Ashton and Alexa’s sister Savannah’s wedding 1 year ago, (Priceless Treasure -Book 4). Alexa left his room before he woke up and he has been chasing her ever since. She has been running from Lance since that night and he doesn’t know why. He just knows that he can’t get her out of his mind and hasn’t been with anyone else since that night.
Lance knew that when his father, Richard, and his Uncles, Joseph and George came up with the plan for his company to sponsor Alexa (Lexie) on her save the world mission, that he should accompany her. Lance was not averse to spending a month in the Philippines helping from storm worn villages.
Lexie was surprised that she was on a private jet taking her to the Philippines, then Lance showed up and she knew she was in trouble if she had to spend alone time with him. Find out if she makes it the entire month withdrawing with Lance and the chemistry that was off the charts that charged between them.
After the month is over, she goes with Lance to the large lodge in the mountains of Washington. Joseph purchased the lodge a couple years ago, so that the large Anderson/Storm Clan would be able to be together at Christmas.
At the lodge, we get caught up with the entire clan. Jasmine is now 17 and more and more children are being added each year. Catherine, of course is the quiet graceful women as ever. A great way to end a series on a Christmas note!
Even though we get glimpse of the “Anderson/Storm” Patriarchs in “The Unexpected Heroes Series in Montana, using their matchmaking skills, it just isn’t the same as when it was their own children/books. I believe we may get more glimpses in a new series that was mentioned.
I love how Melody Anne writes. When I am reading her story I get lost in the book. I especially love how she writes about the family. Each person with their own story. For me it was not surprise that I fell love with this book.
Melody Anne writes an amazing love story.
This book is five stars! I found this book hard to put down! I great way to the end the series.
Lance is the LAST the Lost Anderson. Not one to settle down till he meets Lexi who is finding and setting her path in life. Lexi is not the marrying kind either due to past experiences. As the story progresses, Lexie is shown what family is all about in the celebration of festivities.
Wonderful read. An added bonus - just in time for the holidays.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm going to really miss Joseph, George and Richard and their meddling ways. But especially the warm & big-hearted man known as, Joseph. The man who captured my heart from the very beginning, and made my love for him grow even more deeper with every book. Who wouldn't love to have someone just like him in their family. I think we would all be very Blessed to have someone like him care about us as deeply as he does for all of his family...that's for sure.
The story of Lance and Lexy warmed my heart right from the beginning of this story, too. Lexy didn't have much in the way of knowing what real love was like, other than what she recieved from her older sister. I could fully understand her being hesitant when it came to putting herself out there, but sometimes you just have to take that leap of faith. Lance was so patient with her. The way he treated her with such sweetness and patience, were the things that totally made my heart melt.
It may be good-bye for now, but I have a feeling we'll be seeing Joseph and his brothers pop up again in the near future. Maybe not in another Anderson book, but then again.....you never really know, do we?
