The Cavers are finished, but the machine that created them is just waiting for more bodies to feed it so it can create even worse monsters. I don’t think the hope they had for repurposing it will work out. Meanwhile the Ghrell have pulled most of the allied fleet away. And they figured out a new way to power their weapons. Now they may be using the most drastic action possible.
