One of the things I am thankful for is that I have a DVR with a button that skips commercials. What does this have to do with this rack? Because 99% of the time I wouldn’t have seen that TV commercial for the so-called magic copper cooking rack that performs miracles of making your food come out perfect. It’s nothing but a cooling grid like this one, something I have used for many years with a lot of success.I was looking for a new one for several reasons, my old one is a full tray size and is chromed steel. It is too large for how I use it for cooking for two and it definitely is showing its age with signs of rust and bent grids. I also wanted to get one with smaller grid holes so little piece of things like shoestring fries wouldn’t fall through. This ticked all the boxes and claimed to be high-grade stainless steel. I’m a purist in the kitchen and avoid the non-stick chemical coated products or other similar synthetics. Almost everything I cook with is stainless steel and that includes some pots and pans handed down to me by my grandmother from the 1940’s that still perform perfectly.I’m not a metallurgist so I can’t give an opinion on how good of a grade the steel is on this grid but from my experience it looks very good. The size is an important thing because most 13 x 18 baking pans have sloped sides so if you want to use a grid in it the grid has to be sized properly. These people did their homework and it fits perfectly inside my existing 13 x 18 pan, which is heavy-duty commercial-grade stainless steel.One feature I like is that it has six 1” feet and they are not welded to the grid but rather to a heavy-duty crossbar that helps prevent the grid from warping. Most grids only have four feet and aren’t usually as high. The height helps drippings from splashing back up onto the food and also allows a lot more air circulation while cooking.One more thing, this also serves very well as a cooling rack, but that’s not why I bought it. I’m impressed that every wire is ground and polished so there are no sharp edges. With proper care some day my own grandkids might be remembering when I handed it down to them.

It's a tighter mesh than what you'd usually see, and they are tall. Some people mind the height of the legs, but I'm indifferent. They work. We also use one as a dish drying rack, which the height and stainless material are proving them to be versatile as well.

I bought this rack on the recommendation of a review on Facebook. The item is well made, sturdy and would make a good cooling rack for cookies or other small items.

However, I bought it to use as a rack in my Instant Pot Omni toaster oven. It was recommended by several people on an Air Fryer Facebook group who said that it made a perfect replacement rack for cooking items like pizza and that it fit the dimensions of the oven. I found this not to be the case exactly, I can fit it in some slots in my oven, it fits easiest in the very bottom slots. In other slots, the fit was very tight and the rack had to be fiddled with to get in and out. A few slots have an L shaped metal piece on the side of the oven that require the rack to be tilted up in the front as you slide it into the oven, even the pan and rack that come with the oven require this maneuver. Because of the mesh construction of this rack, the metal pieces block the ability to slide the rack deeper into the oven making the rack unusable in these slots. This is not the fault of the manufacturer and most likely the result of the margin of error in the dimensions of the rack.

Overall, this would make a great cooling rack for baked goods and it should fit nicely inside some baking sheets or jelly roll pans to elevate items like a roast so they don't sit in their own drippings. However, it would only be useful as a rack for the Omni if you happen to receive one that was on the negative side of the margin of error for the stated dimensions.

Gonna be a lengthy review, and worth your time, IF you are like me... so ok I had bought a new stove and wanted it to have the air fry feature in oven. I thought the racks would have came with the purchase due to that feature.. but HA HA...SILLY me for thinking that, CUZ it didn't🤬 infact, they want you to purchase theirs for another $60, and I'm sorry but I just WAY OVER spent for the stove as it is, and that's because EVERYTHING cost more BUT wont last 1/2 the time my other stove of 21 yrs an still going, (I got a new one because we moved and had the junk the owners left that we thought were ok but our bad for not baking a cake in it while we were putting an offer) SOOOO, I wanted to TRY an save money an so I was shopping around for more affordable stainless steel rack in place of their expensive rack so I could enjoy the air fry feature.. well let's just say I spent too much time searching and when I came upon these I WAS SO EXCITED AND THEY CAME WITH TWO racks and still 1/2 their price of the one... and also trying to find in stores was same... plus these ARE TRUE stainless steel UNLIKE ones in stores that say they are..
I couldn't wait to cook my chicken wings...
Here's my experience & advise.
Before I cook on them I'll spray with cooking spray, 1) because it helps brown but also it makes cleaning a heck of ALOT easier!!
By the way, I use Dawn SPRAY soap to clean and let me tell you, its 100 % WORTH BUYING!! It works SO GOOD that the next time I went to store I bought a refill bottle cuz who knows if this will be on the shelf with all the emptiness going on in the stores these days! Guys an gals, I kid you not, if you have a greasy stain, countertop, stove, cloths, driveway, garage or whatever... do yourself a hugh favor and buy Dawn Spray Soap, YOU WILL spend 95% time cleaning, I'm not joking!! The reason I got so in depth with my before using step is because BEFORE I broke down an bought the Dawn dish soap, I sprayed racks with cooking spray and they still took a few days to soak & clean, and by the way I used a stainless steel cleaning scrubber too try an remove the grease & grime, so after using the Dawn Spray Soap with just a washcloth btw. I was like OMW THIS STUFF IS GREAT!
If theres ONE thing I CAN NOT stand is spending WAY too much time on cleaning. an so I'm always looking for products to cut my time from, "let's say an hr down to 5 minutes or less" and the spray soap DID! So no matter how good the chicken wings, bacon, home made jalapeno poppers are, I still NEED & WANT the cleaning afterwards to be easy, that way I'm enjoying the food instead of the dreadful thought of cleaning after AND NOW I WANT to cook more air fry food!!! SO OVER ALL, my stainless steel racks are great for cooking air fry food, racks also fit perfect inside the 9/11 pan. Racks are also used for layering food that calls for a semi freeze, like I will put fruit & veggies on freezer paper then place on the rack and because there are two I get 2 times the amount to donate once, I just love them AND I love my Dawn Dish Spray

Oh I forgot to add, they ARE dishwasher safe too!!!

I hope my post here is helpful, I really wish other people would leave a detail experience review on their buys because I AM one who WILL make my mind up based on reviews and it'd be awfully nice having detailed reviews. I think 8 out of 10 times we ALL WANT THE SAME OUTCOME... "per-say" so if we help each other with reviews it could save time!

Wow, I'm SO pleased to have made this purchase. These cooling racks are absolutely perfect. The size is right, the weight/gauge is right, and even the height of the feet from the counter is perfect. The food cools off much better with the extra airflow space under the rack. These racks are sturdy and hold my pots as as well as my food while cooling.
