Zenbook 13 heralds a new era of Ultra portable Design, with an ultra compact, ultralight chassis. Featuring the four-sided NanoEdge display with Touch option, Zenbook 13 is 14% smaller than the previous generation Zenbook 13 (UX331) and weighs only 2.8 lbs. The new screen Pad 2.0 upgrades the traditional laptop experience, adding an interactive secondary touchscreen that enhances your productivity and gives you endless possibilities. Its intuitive smartphone-like interface lets you easily manage tasks and create your own seamless multitasking workflow. There's a series of handy Asus utility apps to boost productivity, including quick key — for one-tap automation of complex keyboard sequences — along with handwriting, number key, doc Xpert, slide Xpert and sheet Xpert. Screen Pad 2.0 intelligently fits many apps into the 5.65-Inch touchscreen, and you can effortlessly add apps to screen Pad for instant access. The newly-optimized screen Pad experience ensures that your favorite apps, such as ever note and spotty, will work perfectly on this secondary display right away, without the need for a screen pad-specific version. Asus also works closely with third party developers, including video-editing software developer Corel, to optimize Adaptive screen Pad tools for the ultimate productivity — and there's much more to come. The actual transfer speed of USB 3.0, 3.1 (Gen 1 and 2), and/or Type-C will vary depending on many factors, including the processing speed of the host device, file attributes and other factors related to system configuration and your operating environment.

A SSD is mandatory for me. My career requires me to multitask on a lot of applications. A good graphics card is also mandatory.
I bought this on Prime Day fo $850 and earned 6% back on my Amazon Card. However the everyday price is still cheaper then the yellow box store.
This computer is quick. I wanted a Mac Air but missed out on the Prime Day sale for it. This PC Laptop is close enough.
So far it has been a great little laptop while doing typical web browsing, word processing. I installed bluestacks to see if it could handle some light gaming of my favorite cell phone games and it did well. However battery life is seriously compromised when doing so and it heat up quickly, the fans stayed on. In Zens defense, this is not a gaming laptop, and I am by no means a gamer. I just wanted to see if it was capable.
I'm seeing 7-10 hours of battery life on average. Nothing close to the 14hrs that are advertised. The trackpad is slick and responsive. Way more to than the Vivo.
The one thing I don't like is the right side shift key is super small. I end up hiting the enter key by accident. It's not a huge deal breaker to tick off a star, but annoying.
Will update once the Zen gets some work hours under its belt. For now I am happy with this Prime Day purchase.
A couple or weeks of work under it's belt and the Zen performs well. Unfortunately, the small shift key and overall squished feeling keyboard led me to return it. I was constantly hitting the enter key in error and the arrow keys lost all functionality for me being crammed where they were.
I went though two Zenbook 14". The first was purchased through a 3rd party and was obviously an open box or refurb, despite not making that clear in their ad. Fingerprints all over the top of the case and it was missing the Ethernet adapter. I got the black screen of death while trying to update windows 10. I had it less than 8 hours and back into the box it went and returned. Pictures I added to this review are of the returned 14" side by side with the 13".
I then purchased the Zen 14" with screenpad and better graphics card....typing on it now...made sure not to purchase from 3rd party. Third time is a charm ! It came brand new, no fingerprints with all accessories. It may only be nominally bigger but it's a world of difference to me. Difference in cost was $322.06. May not be worth it to some but it was to me. I am completely happy with my Zen 14. Don't think I'll really use the screenpad function but it looks cool.
You won't be disappointed in the performance of the Zenbooks. I'm keeping my review at five stars as the laptop performed as it is supposed to. I was not able to get used to the keyboard.
Wish I could give it 6 stars.

Love this computer except typing on it is an absolute nightmare because thy made the right shift button one of the smallest buttons on the keyboard. So if you press it, it's very easy to press the up arrow at the same time. The result is that you highlight an entire row of text and replace all of what you just typed with the single shifted character that you wanted to type.
I don't know how this keyboard layout passed product testing. It's really horrible UX.
One other thing that bugs me, though I'll probably get used to it, is the very small 'shift' key on the right & the smaller 'enter' key, which is where the previous model had its 'shift' key - I guess the smaller 'frame' made those changes necessary, but I frequently press the enter key while meaning to press shift. Being a sucker for 'colour', I also liked the dark blue of the case on mine, though I'm sure it also comes in black.
If one uses numbers a lot, the touchpad does convert to a numeric keypad, which is an interesting touch.
The laptop itself is well made, light weight, and elegant. however the short battery life, lack of ports, and off center keys make it not the greatest for anyone who plans on using it for actual use, both professionally and leisurely.
The secondary screen is a mini touchscreen however the laptops main display is not, making use of the laptops functions and windows 10 rather difficult and confusing. customer support is totally useless.
this laptop is not worth buying, there are lots of other options out there from many reputable makers and the competitor laptops of the same caliber and price range are significantly easier to use. this is an excellent computer spec wise, however for actual usability and function this laptop is not a good choice at all in my opinion.
Note that the main display is NOT TOUCHSCREEN. It's only the screenpad (smaller secondary display) will be touch sensitive.
