I have never seen an action figure with so many moves. He is like a little human. Seriously--so many pivot points, we could hardly pry it from the old guys' hands to give it back to our five-year old. Plus he comes with four sets of hands (punching, shooting lasers, karate, and handshakes I guess), several weapons, a cape . . . he is awesome. Bought a "monster" to go with him--will probably add to the monster collection later. Truly wellmade and lots of action for little ones--mine can't put him down.

I picked this up for about $30 and it's awesome. It comes with FIVE SETS of hands in different poses, a specium beam (with hand), an energy disc (with hand), and two "action flares" that you put behind his feet to look like he's kicking up dirt in mid move. There's even a second color timer in RED so you can act out the last minute of the fight!

You can buy separately a cape or "mantle" to make him look all smug and royal, like the newer movies from Japan, but it's not "classic", so that one's up to you.

There are only a few other Ultra Brothers available, and surprisingly, Ultra Seven is not one of them.

And so far there's only one monster in this series from the Ultraman series, and that's Red King. You know, the big moster who isn't red...

Anyway, please take a look at the pics an understand that it's hard plastic and has JOINTS. This isn't a rubber suit that bends. So it's going to look like a toy, not a real person.

And as that toy, it's AWESOME!!!!

I should mention that this is likely an "adult toy" for collectors and meant to be posed and placed on a shelf along with other figures. The photos on the box were very exciting. Each pose was an iconic Ultraman pose and almost looked like a photograph from the show. But it's a different story when you pull it out of the box. First, it appears the photos on the box went through a lot of Photoshop work. Someone tried very hard to lessen the impact of the automaton-like seams and joints. It totally resembles an old fashioned string puppet when you see it in person. The pelvic region looks like he's wearing a big, red diaper. And he wobbles like a puppet too. Good luck trying to get this guy to stand. And good luck trying to copy any of the poses on the box or in the photos above. They must have had special versions or something that could do what the ones you buy can't. In two of the photos you see the head able to tilt back. The real thing doesn't even come close to being able to do that. Outright lie right on the box. And, again, he's a tad too wobbly (as in rag doll) with limbs that just want to twist and turn every which way. He does look good, and authentic, from a distance and that's about the only plus I can think of. If you're an adult collector your best bet is to find a pose that almost works and then just leave him alone. Absolutely NOT worth $40 to casual buyers and fans.

My little boy loves this ultraman but it understandabley won't stand up to a 4yr old. It was made for accuracy to original character and flexibilty for posing. So I put him in a different poses weekly and display him in various spots around the house...Sad I know!

But I like it alot, it brings me back to my childhood.
