I've used Ultrazyme tables for many years. Recently they have become impossible to find at local drugstores. Thanks to Amazon for partnering with the supplier for this product. The enzyme in the tablets digests protein deposits on your lenses. A bi-monthly treatment will make your "disposable" lenses last for months. With the Ultrazyme treatment I get 4-6 months out of a pair of "disposable" soft contacts, rather than 1 week.

This is a 'tried and true' cleaner. I've been forced to wear hybrid lenses (hard in the middle and soft on the outside) for over 20 years. Peroxide cleaning solutions are my only option due to uncomfortable allergic reactions from standard cleaners.

Before the introduction of Clear Care (my 'go to' cleaning solution,) Ultrazyme, Opti-Clean II & AOSept was the only comfortable combination allowing me to wear lenses longer than 14 hours and control protein build up. Clear Care does a really good job as a one step solution.

Over the years, this product became increasingly difficult to find at retail stores. I rediscovered it (and Opti-Clean II) while looking for a way to prolong lens life expectancy. When I noticed them on Amazon, I was stunned and quickly made my purchase!

If you're using AOSept or ClearCare, just put the Ultrazyme tablet in the disinfecting vile once a week or as needed when the lenses become uncomfortable due to protein build up. Once a month is all I need, but it varies greatly by person. If you have very sensitive eyes, be sure to do a quick rinse with an aerosol or pure saline solution before you insert the lenses. From a comfort standpoint, I found that this step is not always needed, but I do it to be safe.

That should be all you need. However, if you have really stubborn build up, get the Opti-Clean II. Using this before Ultrazyme will make the cleaning more effective. The only down side with Opti-Clean II is the need to rub the lens gently with the cleaner in your hand. Too much force may tear the lens, so be gentle.

Ultrazyme does cause the cleaning solution to foam up a little, so be sure not to overtighten the cap. The veritcle vent on the side vile should be slightly open.

I've been using this for years and years. Unfortunately, I have the hardest time finding it in stores--I've checked grocery stores, pharmacies, and stores like Target and Wal-Mart--they are either out of stock, or don't carry it. I am so happy to have found it here at Amazon. I intend to continue to purchase it here.

We can not find this product in any of our stores anymore, the big cahin drugstores and the big grocery and department stores that have pharmacies. So we had to go online to find and order this essential cleaner needed for our daily optical use. We were very happy to find the product available and at a decent price. It was shipped promptly. We would recommend this to anyone. Thanks!

I have been using this stuff for as long as I have been wearing contacts (more than 30 years) and it is great. So easy to use and makes my contacts last more than 3X as long. I use 1 tablet once a week and it keep my contacts like new. I have always purchased these at the local pharmacy, but I have been unable to get them at any store (CVS, Walgreens, Rite-Aid). Thanks to Amazon I don't have to switch to a product that does not work as well.

These are such a lens saver. I hadn't worn contacts and a dozen years after Lasik and now I need a single one. I'd forgotten a lot of things about care but didn't see anything more than just basic solutions on websites having to do with Lynn's care. I came to Amazon to order disinfecting/soaking solution, did some browsing and found this. Using this makes a lens feel brand-new. For some reason I always save last months lenses until I put in the month after that. The tablets are for two lenses so I did both of them and the next day I accidentally wore the old lens and it felt great. I guess this means I can get over one month out of each lens if it remains comfortable. After I found this I did some more browsing to see what else I'd forgotten and it was basic saline. Now I can use it to thoroughly rinse my lens before putting it in or as an eyewash if needed.

I use Clear Care--you just put the tablet in the vial as part of your nightly routine and rinse well with saline in the am. This product is great (and one of the last brands available for removing protein weekly on soft contacts.

Works really good, I use this on my soft contacts to get some extra cleaning on my contact lenses when my eye unhappy/ i cant wear my lenses for more than 5hrs before they get all blurry. I put a tablet in my contact case (r) & (l) with optifree replenish and leave it for a day or two. Then rinse it off good. Feels alot better afterwards. Kinda expensive but good stuff
