Sculptural and functional, the Sticks wall-mount multi-hook rack from Umbra is accessible and decorative for the front hall. This deceptive multi-hook looks at first glance like an idle row of sticks, until you notice that some flip down to become hooks for coats, bags, accessories and more. Constructed of molded wood with an espresso brown finish, Sticks features five sturdy hooks that flip up when not in use, creating a clean, seamless profile that's great for tight spaces or minimalist decor styles. Unit measures 18 by 7-1/4 by 1-1/4-Inch; concealed mounting hardware is included. Designed by David Quan for Umbra - original, modern, casual, functional, and affordable design for the home.

It took my boyfriend only maybe about 15 minutes to get the rack mounted to the wall. His one complaint is that the mounts on the back of the rack are not centered properly. He punched the holes into our wall based on the template provided, but because the mounts aren't centered, the rack ended up being off to the side in comparison to where we expected it to be. Regardless, the process was still easy and it's hardly a noticeable issue. The color and the modern design also fits in perfectly with the rest of our apartment.
The molding looks very nice, but it is hollow and the hooks are definitely no where as sturdy as metal hooks. It holds up my ~2lb peacoat without a problem, but I would be worried hanging up anything heavier than a peacoat on one of these hooks. I think it's kind of cool that you can flip and conceal the hooks, though I feel like if I do this too frequently it would wear down the durability of the hooks even more. I bought this rack for the purpose of hanging up scarves, keys, and our coats though and do not expect this mount to hold anything else heavier, so I would say for the price this rack was very worth it.

This whole piece seems to be made of a plastic (not wood) molding (hollow inside). So it's very light and it doesn't feel well-built when you are holding it.
One thing that no other reviewers seems to have mentioned is that every edge and corner are relatively sharp. Not so sharp that it would cut but it would be unpleasant if I were to hold it. It doesn't really matter as this is meant to be mounted on wall, except for the five hooks. I probably would not want to hang a piece of expansive clothing as I'd be concern that the corner of the hook will cause damage to the clothing.
1. It is NOT heavy duty. I use mine to hang my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gis on and at 3-4lbs that seems to be the maximum I would trust it to hold.
2. It is somewhat cheap feeling plastic but it looks good. After seeing it in person I might manufacture a few out of actual wood, since the design is rather smart and ascetically pleasing.
3. It is small, so if you think you are going to hang a bunch of heavy winter coats on it, find another option, they will be bunched up since the hooks are so close together.
If you don't mind these issues go for it. I would think it would be ideal for bathrooms (synthetic so so no corrosion or rotting) or kids rooms (as long as they don't yank on it of course).
