Wren has had a hard time. Her parents are not great people and the only person she can lean on is her sister. When Wren is forced to go back home, she tries to make the best of her situation. She meets Lincoln while she is doing brick rubbings on the historic West House, which his family owns.
Lincoln and Wren hit it off. But Lincoln is scared to tell her about his son, and Wren has some secrets of her own. Will these things tear apart their budding relationship, or can they weather the storm?
I liked this book. It is a great story. The relationship between Lincoln and Wren has a nice buildup. I also enjoyed the fact that the setting is in a city where I was born – Springfield, Illinois! Lincoln also has two siblings, so I would be interested in hearing their stories, as well as Wren’s sister’s.
Wren was always the "screw up" according to her parents... They decided one day , it was time for her to come home and get her life together... but the way THEY wanted her to be. Wren wanting no part of that, forged out on her own, got a job...and was content till she met Lincoln...
I liked the story or Wren and Lincoln... It was cute, but unfortunately... I found it way too predictable.
A hot and kinda nerdy, totally devoted single dad, Lincoln West is almost perfect. He's a reformed bad boy whose son has changed the course of his life (for the better!)
Wren is struggling with her past, her family, her life. She's looking for a way to take control when Linc comes along. They're great together! I loved the chemistry and emotion written into their relationship, but in true M. Piper style, nothing is ever quite what it seems on the surface. I loved every word on every page.
It was sad to see this story end, but I can't wait to read about the rest of the West siblings!
P.s. sorry not sorry for all the !!!!!! But you have to get that I loved this book and it caused excitement lol 😁
