I was given this book in return for an honest review.
I love this series and it just keeps getting better. I love how St. Aubin combines elements of mythology, legend, fairy tale, and even nursery rhymes in order to created an amazing supernatural world where anything is possible. Then to keep things interesting, she throws in the shady underground world of a mafia hit man. The result is absolutely brilliant and I can't get enough. In this installment, even with all that is going on, Matilda is learning about her bizarre new world but the more she learns, the more questions she has.
I can't wait to read the next book and see what St. Aubin comes up with next!
This one was really good, but the resolving of the main issue seemed a little abrupt. It was sort of annoying, in the previous books the issue would be resolved, but in this one it just happened so fast it didn't seem likely. But this one did deal with a lot of other issues, mainly the ones with the hit-man and the demigod. However, we still do not know what the demigod is hiding from her, or why he keeps coming around so much. Now I must wait for the next book to come out to see what happens next. I really hope the next one reveals what the secret is I'm dying to know!
She was not expecting to get yet another paranormal creature dropped off to try and help with therapy, but that is just what hse gets in the form of Billy a truly ancient egg. As the hilarity ensues with the bears trying to get he good doctor to use as bait for a trade, Matilda decides to try her hand at doing Liam's style of work. In the end she sees that it is best left to the man that knows what he is doing.
She also finds herself in a position to be super jealous of a situation she thinks Crixus has gotten himself into. We learn about his past a little, which I really liked! In the end Matilda's mother is safe for now any way, but leaves her with a chilling message.
The laughs in this book do not disappoint at all, it is everything that I expect from Cynthia now when I pick up one of her books to attack it with my lookers!
I cannot wait for book 5 Unassailable, and neither can my lookers! Thank you for yet another awesome read Cynthia!
