Robert Farragher has always been fascinated with stories. At his childhood dinner table, he used to be the poignant narrator of dramatic events from the schoolyard and suburban streets of Escondido, California. Growing up, he graduated with a major in English Literature from UC Berkley and worked for some years as a journalist, covering local incidents and curiosities in the San Francisco Bay Area. In the early nineties, after the fall of the Iron Curtain, the world was calling for Robert, who decided to travel it. He says, “almost two decades on the road gave me a perspective that no school could teach, nuances to the world that any screen has yet to emulate”. Having settled now, just as his hero Ernest Hemingway, in Spain lives a tranquil life by his pen. He is currently intrigued by the works of Jorge Luis Borges and has a soft spot for treating his Golden Retriever Holly with fresh slices of jamón serrano.

This is a great collection of real court cases and lawsuits in the USA.
Many times, we go through situations in which we feel affected or mistreated by another person and we would like to take them to court. This book presents many examples of such situations, some of them very funny and strange. With this reading I could enjoy learning about the experiences of many people who took the decision of going through a trial and won. I think this is a collection of very interesting and entertaining stories, it captivated me from the very beginning. Whenever I finished reading a case, I couldn't wait to read the following one. They are very well written in a simple and straightforward style.
I recommend it to all those who are interested in lawsuits and want to have great fun.

I have a penchant for reading preposterous crime stories especially involving Lawsuits. As I am about to pursue law as well my affinity to dig deeper into Lawsuits has increased manifolds. With this book though I had a little different experience and I thoroughly enjoyed reading all kinds of amusing and eccentric stories given in the book.

All the stories are well written by the author and are a complete package of entertainment. I was constantly smiling or laughing the entire time I read the book and has already completed it within two days. I am planning to read it again as I can’t let go of all the funny stories in my head. The book will be entertaining to those also who do not have any special liking for lawsuit stories. This book has become one of my favorites.

Constant repeating of entire paragraphs, changing details such as granddaughter to grandson, completely changing the details that make absolutely no sense (defendant had no custody to defendant had sole custody) and mixing up the litigants made for a frustrating read,. I sure hope the author isn't a lawyer.

Robert Farragher is the author of Unbelievable & Crazy Lawsuits, a book that tells short stories of crazy and ridiculous court cases in the USA based on real cases. I have to say that I am not a lawyer and I don't understand much about the American legal system, and even so I enjoyed it because it is written with simple language. I felt the true goal of the book is to make people laugh, and it certainly made me laugh. I think the author is very good at telling stories with humour and ease. I recommend it!

This book is great for laughs and lawyers. I found it to be very entertaining and some of the court proceedings will make you wonder how bizarre and rich people can be. The author uses simple language and relatable scenarios to make the readers laugh. A few of my friends also read the book and thought it was the best book they had read so far, to cheer themselves up. It was mostly due to the simple language and easy structure of written stories. If you want to laugh a little and also find out the crazy stuff people get up to in courts, then this book may be your cup of tea. Be warned, you won't want to put the book down once you start reading!
