Good Alternative to Aluminum Foil

I tried to reduce the amount of Aluminum that I come into contact with and decided to try parchment paper since Aluminum foil touches your food as it cooks there can be small amounts that leach into your food. I use this parchment paper for lining cookie sheets for oven use. If I need something to conform to the shape of the food that I want to cover like potatoes or corn on the grill or in the oven I first wrap the food in parchment then put foil on top. This can reduce the food's exposure to aluminum. I found this parchment paper to be the most affordable per square foot. Reynolds also makes parchment paper but it's a little more expensive and typically comes in smaller rolls.

Pros:
- Some non-stick properties
- No aluminum to leach into foods
- Nice wide width for good coverage
- Affordable and good price point
- Can be re-used 2-3 times
- Doesn't change taste of food
- Non-flammable up to 450 degrees
- Microwave safe
- All natural and Non-toxic

Cons:
- If wrapping foods to cook it does not conform to their shape without assistance (like twine or an external layer of foil)
- Can burn if directly exposed to flames like in BBQ grills. (precautions need to be taken if using on the grill)

Conclusion:
I've been using this Unbleached Parchment Paper for Baking for 18 months and its a great product at a great price. Helps me minimize aluminum from foil from leaching into my family's food. I highly recommend this product.

Prior to now I used butcher block paper under/over workpieces to avoid sticking to wood glue or epoxy . This stuff is so much better! At worst it sticks a bit, but you can pull it off. The silicone coating makes all the difference.

Maybe too harsh, but I took off a star because dispenser is poorly designed for tearing off a piece. But there is a technique to get a clean rip.

You’ll find that this paper is quite tough, so be prepared to tear the edges if it interferes with clamps.

Being very slick it is difficult to stick tape to. But you can’t have it both ways

This is the best parchment paper I've ever used. In the past I've used brands from big box stores but no more! The quality far surpasses any others. It is great for lining any pans for baking. I especially like to use it in my toaster oven. It is heavier and easier to remove anything baked. One of my favorite things to cook is a stuffed chicken breast. The melted cheese doesn't stick to the parchment paper surface which makes it super easy to remove. Clean up is much easier since it doesn't crumble when removed for disposal.
