"God is ever-eager to reveal to us more of Himself through His Son and through His Word. Sometimes, He gives us a friend to lead us—Elisa Pulliam is such a friend. Each short chapter of Unblinded Faith feels like a deep sit-down conversation as she delivers the Word, tells stories that bring those Bible lessons to life, and asks leading questions to help us think and engage so the blinders fall just a bit, and the light shines brighter than before. Oh, how our faith grows when we spend time with God in His Word. Unblinded Faith is for all women who want to see Him clearly in their everyday, walk-around lives!"
—Wendy Speake, coauthor of Triggers, Parenting Scripts, and Life Creative
"Have you ever struggled with the truths found in the Bible? If so, you're not alone. We live in very confusing times. Culture today is challenging everything from the existence of absolute truth to the need for God. Sadly, in an attempt to be loving, many churches today have abandoned God's Word as the plumb line for truth and exchanged it for the constantly shifting values of a culture in spiritual decline, leaving many feeling emotionally and spiritually depleted.
"In Unblinded Faith, author Elisa Pulliam reminds us that sometimes the best thing to do is to hit the reset button—to step back from the social connections that drain our souls and cause us to doubt God's promises—and get back to basics so that we can regain much needed emotional and physical margin in our lives.
"For 90 days, Elisa challenges readers to take a new look at the faith that makes us whole. In doing so, we get a front row seat to seeing God's power and provision with fresh eyes. It's a journey worth taking!"
—Heidi St. John, MomStrong International, author, speaker, blogger, executive director at Firmly Planted Family
"I'm not a girl who naturally faces the hard days with peace and trust. Some days it's more difficult to see truth, to see Christ. I often have to be reminded who's really leading the charge over here. That's why Unblinded Faith encourages me. This is a book about hope and life-changing truth that will help us find the sort of perspective that could change everything. Lisa, a seasoned life coach passionate about spiritual growth, offers compelling and relatable narratives that challenge us to embrace God's promises. Unblinded Faith invites us to walk this life with open eyes—passionate, purposeful, and full of possibility."
—Jo Ann Fore, life coach and author of When a Woman Finds Her Voice

This is not a devotional that you will quickly read while gulping down lukewarm coffee and trying to race out the door. Instead, you will find yourself savoring the daily reading the same way you do your favorite beverage. You will find yourself as I did, really looking forward to setting aside some time (any time you can manage will do) to engage in God’s word.
This book changed my life. I went from checking my devotional reading off my daily to-do-list and adding it to my daily “I can’t wait to spend time with the Lord list.” There are days when I spend two or three days on one devotional and before reading this book, this would have been unheard of for me. You cannot do this devotional wrong.
Lisa’s devotionals are not written like Hallmark cards but are written to encourage, inspire, and challenge. Her words of wisdom come through experiencing Jesus and knowing Him through the challenges of life and both good and bad. What sets “Unblinded Faith “apart from most devotionals is the reminder that being a Christian does not grant us immunity from trials, troubles, and difficulties. In fact, trials, troubles, and difficulties are more the norm and this powerful devotional equips and prepares us to handle life by renewing our minds with God’s word and believing his promises. Lisa does not deny that this is often difficult to do especially in a world where we tend to live according to our feelings (as I am so often guilty of doing).
A great feature of this devotional are the single scripture readings. Many devotionals include several key verses or chunks of scripture that correspond with the daily reading. “Unblinded Faith is unique in that you receive one section of scripture to read and focus on throughout the day. The prayers that end each chapter skip the flowery language, are heart felt, and easily become “your” prayer rather than a prayer you just read written by someone else.
The book certainly lives up to its title. This is a devotional that helps you recall and reflect on what you have read while going about your daily everyday routine. If you know a friend or family member new to the faith, this devotional is a great gift idea and perfect for individual or small group study. It is also a wonderfully powerful tool that infuses fresh faith for quiet times that have grown stale or mundane.
I am an avid reader and if I had to choose only one devotional to keep on my bookshelf, “Unblinded Faith” is the winner. The companion journal is a great addition to the book and also differs from most, in that it does simply regurgitate the material found in the book. We are given two pages per devotional which has plenty of room to record your questions, word definitions, thoughts, prayers, and revelations. I carry my journal with me so I can reread and refer to throughout the day.
I almost forgot! The book includes cool links to additional resources to help you along your journey.
When Scripture is engrained in our minds and hearts, God uses it to sustain us through the ups and downs of life and fill us with an unquenchable hope, peace, and joy. – Nothing else compares, because what we find in the Word is what we find in Jesus Christ, who is the Word (John 1) “Made to See” Introduction of Unblinded Faith
God has used this little devotional to bless me. As I would reflect and pray over the on the assigned scriptures, it felt like a veil was being lifted from over my eyes – layer after layer reveling more and more of God’s greatness and his love. His word has become very personal to me; I find his promises being very comforting and nourishing to my soul. Elisa reminds us that if we long to face each day prepared and equipped, we need to start each day inspired and steeped in the word. We need to spend time in His word and in prayer to nourish our souls the same as we give our bodies nourishment. I highly recommend this devotional for yourself or as a gift to a friend or love one you care deeply for.
The gospel is simple, yet the truth of it is profound. Elisa takes the simplicity of the gospel and weaves it with hope throughout each page. The rawness and transparency of Elisa's story is engaging and provides encouragement - as the Lord has worked in her, he will also work in each of us.
The truth of scripture is at the forefront of the devotional and it is evident that Elisa's desire is to usher us as readers in to a deeper relationship with Jesus through lessons she has personally learned in her time spent in the Word.
Each day includes a scripture reading and a question that challenge us to go deeper in our faith and relationship with God. Questions are ones an accountability partner or mentor would ask and tie beautifully into the scripture and theme for the day, leaving room for personal growth and reflection. If the devotional is not enough, she has packed it full of access to helpful resources that are easy to download and implement instantaneously, allowing us to decide how far we would like go.
Over all, Unblinded Faith is a beautiful, well written devotional. Whether you have been walking with the Lord for decades or just starting out, this will bless and inspire you in your faith.
